Ashton Smashton (my son) and I were at Cambridge ( where were you if you didn't go). we also went to Fulham away (great night, never in doubt). But respect to anyone who has been to every round so far. Write your name here, as a true Blade.

But is there anyone who has been to every game, home and away, in every round. I respect thee as a true Blade LEGEND. You shall receive the accolade of a knight of the Blade table from Lord Tony of Currie (if I have my way). I salute you here.

Altered title from 13th to 12th. I am a bit pissed. It is all the excitement.

Blades are a massive part of my life but by far, not the only part. I have a much broader social life than spending all my time and money travelling the country far and wide.

I'll pick which games to attend myself

Nope... didn't go to Colchester.

I've been at all the games twice and the third round draw.

Beat that.

I missed Oldham away in the Youth Cup, wearing a "Part Timer" t-shirt as punishment at Gillingham on Wednesday, don't laugh if you see me :(

Unlike you glory hunters I haven't been to any of the big games. I will, though, be at Gillingham tomorrow night - perhaps the most difficult to get to fixture all season*

* Have you seen the traffic in the Medway tunnel at 7pm? It's murder. It will take me at least 15 mins to get to thr ground....

I had to give my ticket away on Sunday as I'm currently rather ill. So that means that I'm not a true Blade. What a fucking trauma.

What's worse is that I must not be a 12h either. Gutted.:(

I went to both Fulham games. In the replay, I left just before 90 mins. as I didn't know there'd be extra time.
I went on Sunday (Forest) but had to leave five minutes before the end to get my bus.

Does this make me less of a Blade? Or just a disorganised cunt?

Only joking, BTW.

I don't even live in Sheffield, can't get Radio Sheffield ont wireless, don't own a replica shirt, and haven't had a season ticket since I could stand on the West Terrace... However I believe I saw Jim Phipps a few months ago in my local newsagent when I was trying to buy a Green 'Un....

Pleeeease can I be a true blade now?

I went to the Crewe home game because my son copped off with a student girl who gave him some promotional tickets if that helps?

I am soooo heartbroken that a person I don't even know has not called me a 'true blade'. I feel like crying my eyes out...NOT! Not a good thread to post kingston my old son. I came from Halifax to see both fulham and Notts Forest and I did not regret it! Other people have work as their priority and looking after their wife and kids. Trust me guys, nowt wrong in being a part timer. Il admit that I'm one, even though i've to around 7/8 games this season. But when I was in my teens, their was no stopping me! Season ticket on the Kop, witnessed leicester 90(A game which a lot of people missed out on unfortunatly) and above all, after the boxing day game against you know who, I wasnt afraid of still waving my flag and wearing my 1979/80 shirt infrnt of wednesdayites. Surely, I am a true blade now right?

Stood waiting on West Street yesterday, I saw John Brayford. Very unassuming and certainly not full of himself, good lad.

Does this make me a true Blade? Do I care? They're my team, end of. UTB

I didn't go to all of them either. Dont mean to offend anybody, just wondered if there was anyone out there who had gone that extra mile. We are all Blades.

I didn't interpret the original email as who is the biggest Blade. Just a straight forward question. Its not me though I did not go to Colchester, instead I listened to Radio Sheff on the way to and from the tip. Watched the Cambridge match on TV. Went to the others though.

I think kingston RAWW was trying to say - Good on you lads, what a fantastic story it would be to say you have witnessed all the games on this amazing cup run. I don't think he meant any offence.

As he stated in his OP - he hasn't been to any but Cambridge or Fulham so that would make him a non-blade. I doubt he's calling others non-blades if he hasn't been to them either.

And.. for what its worth...

Colchester (A) - Couldn't think of anything worse than travelling to Colchester for a FA Cup 1st round tie.
Cambridge (A) - had this not been a silly Kick Off time on a Sunday, i would've gone.
Aston Villa (A) - Went
Fulham (H) - Was meant to be going, then had childcare issues and then couldn't be arsed as it was on the box.
Fulham (A) - Was in Florida, watched it in a bar.
Nottm Forest (H) - Went
Charlton (H) - Going
Man City (N) - Give that a miss and go to final instead.
Hull (N) - Going

No further comment from myself about our captain needed.

The bearded one, Brayford's his name, he and I made eye contact, the type of fleeting look that says so much, not quite man-love, but an acknowledgement that we're men who have travelled, that we're men who understand life's capacity to reward and punish, that we both seek to walk with an air of nonchalant curiosity about the possibilities ahead of us. All this established within a few seconds.....remarkable what healthy delusion can establish in that part of the mind that should remain closed.

Got to say though, that our John is a man with a swagger off the pitch that compares with the way he carries himself on it. You, dear boy, are a great player for the mighty Blades UTB
