A good, busy display by young Scougall. A real terrier at times, and I love it when he gets hold of the ball and begins to motor forward. He'll be even better when we can find a forward who'll be able to read him and make those runs ready to receive a pass from Stefan. Always involved, what I love about him is he's so untypically united, he's different and that's so refreshing.

He's impressed me both times iv seen him play. ..got pace and uses it. ..Highlands Messi. ..I like that utb

nice to seee him play and not wrapped in cottonwool like mr giralamo.

Or maybe, just maybe, de girolamo isn't as good as everyone is making out based on hearsay and hype! If the lad is good enough, he will play in time. I haven't seen this Diego lad play at all really, no one has at a good level, and I'm starting to get annoyed by this constant chat that he's gods gift to us. Let's reserve judgement until they actually play, like we should with any player.

P.s. Scougall on the other hand has impressed me in every game so far. He really does look like he is/will be very decent.

When he scored our 2nd goal which wasnt a hard shot, I was thinking of Broomhill's post in BU some years ago saying that he doesnt remember Jimmy Hagan scoring a screamer so Jimmy's goals were like a "pass to the net". If Scougall keeps scoring goals with a "pass" to the net then I am happy!

It's hard to believe that he and the two fullbacks have only been here a couple of weeks init.
What will we be like when they've settled in ?

Did you manage to get a cheap ticket?

Yes mate, frechyblade contacted me and offered to help. Great gesture by him and deeply appreciated.
Nice to see the Blades turn in a good performance and all we missed was that oh so important forward.
Would have offered myself, but not sure what time I was going to get to Bramall Lane. Will bear you in mind next time there's a deal on.

Baxter must be dizzy ,the amount of times he ran past him ,both ways.

Baxter himself was excellent. His football intelligence really shone through today.

Also very impressive stints from Flynn and Murph. Like two new signings, this pair.

I like Harris too. None of your Hill-Hoofs with this guy. Another assured performance from Howard and kicked well.

Nothing spectacular today but very comfortable and rather satisfying. We were well organised and played as a team, with plenty of room for individual flair (and a beard).

Well done Nigel.

Agree I thought Baxter was class today, held it up so well at times - much better than our so-called target men generally do!

First of many from the Highlands Messi
It would be nice if he was allowed to get on with his own game without nonsense like "Messi" bandied about. Give the lad time to develop and make some mistakes and learn from them FFS

Highland Messi, I hope so. In the meantime he's doing fine. He doesn't so much run with the ball, he sort of glides..whatever that means! First assist and first goal. Keep up the good work young man. I like what I see so far..UTB

First of many from the Highlands Messi

I'm guessing calling him the West Lothian Messi wouldn't hit the spot would it? :)

I know, pedantry at its best but having lived about 15 miles from LIvi its nowhere near the highlands. To really go for it he was born in Edinburgh but what the hell.

Didn't Clough say that Scougal was "one for the future" when he signed him? The lad clearly had other ideas.

Just a thought, if Scougall is making such an impression with so many of us, take a look at Ryan Gauld. He's referred to as Dundee United's Messi. A good player, technically proficient, and tricky too.

The Shrewsbury players look terrified every time he bombed forward today.

What's nice is that we now look like we have potent attacking options. Flynn & Murphy are on form, Brayford & Harris offer good support and the central pairing of Scougall & Baxter can threaten opposing defences. All we need is a good striker in front of them.

Will Scougal play on Wednesday do you think? Nigel Clough said on Radio Sheffield that Doylee will be back against Brentford, that means someone from todays midfield will drop to the bench.

Didn't Clough say that Doyle could find himself having to work his way back into the team if we were doing well without him? I wouldn't be surprised to see Doyle on the bench Wednesday.

He is a very lively chap, that can adapt to the game. He easily eased in to a defensive position today when we started making changes and he is not scared to have a shot. Nothing but praises so far.
