Agree mate. Anybody but Clarke! Whoever scouted him! Wants his eyes testing.
farke certainly did his homework on clarke obviously from the pompey game and what murphy did to him was noticeable first half leeds were concentrating down our right hand side with solomon

To be fair, Solomon has done that to a lot of RBs this season. But our right side is weak.

Clarke is just not good enough I'm afraid. I'd sooner have him as the excluded loanee rather than Gilchrist.

I think Choudhary should be given the role for the time being, at least he can actually defend. Clarke has had his pants round his ankles in 3 different games so far.

But that wd involve the powers that be admitting they've dropped a bollock and 20k a week or whatever he's been paid.

Seriki is our best right back but he's been out for weeks so his injury was clearly much worse than was being alluded to.

Ps we need to sort the full nack situation out for the pig game as out wide is their strongest position

4 out of 5 of them are either now injured or on the way back from injury.
Hamza probably starts there at QPR.
Hopefully. Aside from being competent at football and tackling and stuff, another reason he's a better bet than Clarke there is the tactical flexibility. He can go into midfield at any time

Thinking about it, why did we need another loan in the RB position? If we wanted a RB it should've been a permanent.

Seriki - Perm
Shackleton - Perm
Choudhury - Loan
Gilchrist - Loan

Makes no sense when you look at it? And we can't have 6 loans in the squad.

Think it was a bit of a panic move after Gilchrist's performance vs. Hull

if we can keep seriki fit he has to be number 1 choice for rb and he could well be the missing link we need for top 2 bogle showed us monday night what were missing down that side unfortunately im not fully convinced about rak-saki he just doesnt do enough for me i would be tempted to give brooks another chance or switch bbd to that right side

Could really do with Clarke or Gilchrist back Sunday. I'd be more confident having one of them and Seriki for RB. None of em can obviously play the full 90.

I'm happy to stick with Seriki personally.
I don't think any of them can defend the RB channel very well but at least Seriki offers some fun, attacking threat.

In a very boring team to watch, he occasionally does something to get you out your seat.

He's probably better suited coming on as a sub, but he's our player and I'd rather we developed him.
In hindsight, I wish we'd splashed the extra on Jonjoe Kenny. I think he'd have been a big upgrade on our options.

Definitely agree re Jonjoe Kenny. Clarke has been poor tbh and definitely not an upgrade on what we already have. Or even if we'd have spent the couple mil and got Dunne from QPR, he can play RB as well.

If we'd signed Dunne as a RB (that can cover CB) and Holding as our actual CB, we'd have been in great shape.

We'd also have no dramas around matchday loanees being left out.

Thought Seriki was good last night. Won a few headers at the back post just before coming off- heading is a perceived weakness of his. Should have had an assist first half. Holding was talking to him a lot which is something he'd surely benefit from. Anel doesn't strike me as someone who constantly talks.

There was always a spare man on his side but that was tactical given the shape of both teams.

We've all had a better look at Seriki now.

I'd be intrigued to know if voting would change?

Personally, I'd stick with him.
He does have defensive awareness to work on. But I can see him growing and still fancy him to make something happen at the other end.
He's also our player. Let's develop him.

Seriki is better than the other 2. He does nothing worse than Clarke and he's just much quicker and more physical.

Gilchrist is a much better defender but gives you fuck all in possession or going forward.

He's raw but his pros definitely outweigh his cons and if he Continues to develop at this rapid rate it's our player and our commodity

It depends who's ahead of him. If it's BBD, Seriki. If it's JRS or Cannon, the safer Gilchrist. Not that fond of Clarke thus far.

I think Seriki grew into to game on Sunday , and deserves credit for getting through the sticky first ten minutes. He was targeted for sure and kept at it and got stronger

Anyone else think somethings gone off with Gilchrist, dropped from the squad and replaced with another young loan and then gets injured just as the other loan is out as well?

I do think Gilchrist has been the weak link for most of the season. However Wilder was still picking him ahead of Seriki so I find it odd a player who played just about every game was dropped from the squad. Not even a slot on the bench. I wonder of there is some lucrative add ons for Gilchrist or Chelsea dependant on appearances although that would seem like a silly thing to worry about during a promotion push.
