As always, if you watch the SUFC ones on the club website, you'll need to log in. I'll upload any Leeds presser vids and SUFC YouTube clips as and when the clubs post them, but if you find something before me, please add it to the thread.

Wilder is live today at 0900. Link below 👇

Farke live 1330 Friday

Given this is 101 hours before the game starts, I imagine we will be told everyone with an injury cloud over them has a chance to play. Let’s see

He seemed a bit down-beat/deflated in the presser. Giddins tried to keep the tone of the questions upbeat, but Wilder seemed like he quite fancied a moan/battle, though he softened a bit later. Maybe it was just Giddins he had an issue with. Anything said on BBCRS this week that's got his back up with them? 😅

Injuries & Absences:
  • Moore, Cannon and Hamer are "ticking along nicely. We'll give them as long as possible. We'll wait and see"
  • "Everyone else is OK", but nothing specific asked about whether that means Shackleton and Seriki are ready to make the bench on Monday
  • Adam Davies, "had a tight calf, so he's touch and go for the weekend, [but if not, then] for the QPR game", then talking about how highly rated Luke Faxon is internally

Looking ahead to Leeds:
  • "No change in our preparation and approach. Everyone in our camp is looking forward to it"
  • "Huge football club" "Top 6 premier league club" "I'm not trying to upset anybody, that's how it is" "A power house of English football" Shoutbox prediction: ✅
  • Talking about Leeds 'finding a way' against Sunderland, he praised them but also ourselves, "it's why we are 43 points above Luton Town, why we are 25 points above certain clubs"
  • Talking about the title race, "I will be astounded if any team in our division wins the next 13 games", further talking about the title not resting on this one game, for either club
  • "We are comfortable in our own skin and we'll crack on"
  • He talked a bit about "learning and reflecting" after every performance, good or bad, pointing out the Leeds and Boro away games, as well as those recently, whether we lost (Hull) or didn't play well (Pompey)
  • He mentioned how, on reflection, the setup at Leeds away wasn't the best way to win the game, but that before-hand it seemed like it would be, specifically mentioning the way Southampton beat them in the playoff final
  • "There'll be no arrogance or complacency [from us]"
  • "They've got good players and a good manager"
  • On Farke's touchline ban, he said "it's absolutely ridiculous" that he got a yellow for that. "Pashun". "If we step out of line, we deserve to be punished, but three yellow cards [is light and hard to manage over the season]", going on to also complain that the financial (club) punishments are also "ridiculous". He questioned whether the people deciding the punishments have "ever stood in the technical area"
  • On Bogle's reception at BDTBL, "I got it when I walked out at Elland Road, Jayden should get it". He didn't want him to go to Leeds but it was out of his hands. "I'll shake his hand before and after, but it's game on"
  • "My players are competitors, they're warriors, they'll want to get after Leeds on Monday night"
  • "First goal is massive, but ultimately it doesn't decide the game. Sunderland got the first goal, but Leeds kept banging the door and it came"
  • "We've got a massive task, and we respect that"

General:
  • Lot's of praise for Rob Holding "in a 2 or a 3" and how he's "slotted in well"
  • "We'd like to play the same formation (4 at the back) all the way through [a game] but sometimes we have to respond"
  • "Our team has massive personality and massive character and we didn't have it last year...and hopefully we'll get the rewards. One game at a time"
  • "I could forego results over style" but he won't
  • "These boys are showing the same character as [previous promotion teams] did"
  • "There's a genuine togetherness of the players, in the changing rooms, on the bus, having a bite to eat, at games. I listen to players who've only been here 5 minutes and what they say about the group"
  • "There are big challenges ahead of us, but ones we should embrace and enjoy"
  • "Out of a career than lasts 10/15 years, if you get three promotions that's good going. They have to embrace it, enjoy it, and really grab it. I'm enjoying watching how they overcome adversity, the togetherness", mentioning a few points in the season. "For a period of your career, you're right up against it, relegation, mid-table obscurity. When you're in this period when you've got the opportunity to achieve something, you 've got to enjoy the challenge"

Interviewers: Andy Giddins, Danny Hall, Stuart Rayner

Full replay of Wilder's 36-minute press conference from this morning 👇

Edit: They posted the presser, then pulled it. Maybe they're editing out the bit where he called Farke's punishment and our financial punishments "absolutely ridiculous" 😅 ;)

Edit2: It's up again. Link ☝️

Wilder cap doffing Leeds, In line with the general opinion on here.
Come off it. What's he's expected to say when questioned about the opposition?

"They're crap, they're spozzy gits and we'll batter them easily. We won't even have to get out of 1st gear !!! "

He didn't say anything about Leeds that was over the top or wasn't true.

Why say anything about Leeds he should be concentrating on what his team do rather than what Leeds could do. Is he shitting his pants already?

Because it is ridiculous to say they are a top six Prem club sounds to me like he is getting his excuses in early, Oh and he is there to talk about Sheffield United not give them a confidence boost.
I'm absolutely sure that Wilder's comments will not give them any confidence boost.

Let's see if Farke bigs us up more in his pre match presser. Hope he does because we'd be certs to win on Monday if he does. 🤦🏻‍♂️

All they have is a big fan base being in an area dominated by egg chasers, no significant clubs within 35 miles of them hence their chosen local rivals are Man Utd 😂 and that following is from their team of the 70's they did have a good side late 90's but apart from that throughout their history they have done nowt.

Tbf he was directly asked about Leeds several times. Maybe he could have ignored the questions, or deflected the questions, but that would have seemed odd in a press conference set up to preview the next game.

He could have been less complimentary of course, but as others have said showing ‘respect’ to the oppo is what all managers do almost all the time, whoever they are playing.

A power house of a football club who should throw all their cups, medals, pots and pans into the biggest fucking dustbin they can find as they won it all by cheating.
When did they cheat in 1989/90?

Or when they won Division One two years later?

We started this challenge at Bellend Road. Leeds hold all the cards. We should just give them the Championship.
