I've generally been a Brewster basher but it is good to see him starting to show glimpses of his former potential. Was stunned to learn he's still only 24, he can still have a second wind in his career, I'd just prefer that to be with someone else. Too much water under the bridge, fresh start would be best for all parties.

I predict that when he's released in the summer he will still have more goals for Swansea than for any other club - by my reckoning he needs another 5 for us to overtake his total with them. And even bearing in mind all his setbacks, that speaks volumes.

Feels like he's been around forever, but he's actually younger than Campbell, BBD, Hamer, Vini Souza, O'Hare, Davies, Anel, and Cooper.

He works very hard for the team.

He's helped us navigate a difficult spell, which is all you can ask of a squad player.

The boys seem to have moved onto Cannon now though.
Doesn't matter that he's just won us a game in only his second appearance in a tight promotion race (22 years old).

Weirdly, Cannon and Brewster would probably work well in a front two as neither perfectly fit a lone striker role, but bringing in both Cannon and BBD means Wilder has gone back to his barmy idea of Brewster as an attacking midfielder, which then pushes O'Hare out of position and we have no real width. Presumably Brewster will be the one who drops out for Hamer next week.

Rhian wanted to be injured for 2 years and face the prospect of his football career being over. Every players dream to get that insurance pay out.

He is playing a role as a squad player this season that is proving important. He has been fit for a while and has had a run for games and a long period of time with teammates on the training ground and this is proving very valuable with injuries and other new players settling in. I have a feeling if he continued as a.no.9 the last couple of games we might have seen another goal. He obviously has a good attitude and wants to give something back to the club. I like him and am pleased he is getting his career underway and earning applause rather than derision form the crowd. But even still, he is not showing anything that would merit another contract, whatever division we are in next year and he is going to have to do something previously unseen to turn that around. Having the chance to go out celebrating a promotion he has played a part in and doing enough to get a contract offer lower down the Champ next season, I think would be the best reasonable outcome.

Those that round on single players and cannot wait to tear them down are very weird individuals.

Some of our younger fans need to think themselves lucky they get to see us signing players for 20+ million i remember back when I was younger If we spent over a couple of hundred k we were pushing the boat out.

And flair players and players with proper. Technical ability we never paid for they either came through the ranks or on a free.

And on the whole the majority of the fan base accepted that we didn't have a pot to piss in and we got behind the team.

A game that sticks out in my memory that exemplifies this was Wigan away during the days when Wigan had the likes of Jason Roberts and Nathan Ellington tearing us a new arsehole not to to mention they had Lee McCulloch and Jimmy Bullard and Leighton Baines to name but a few.

We knew we didn't stand a chance against one of best strikeforces the championship has seen.

And we knew our strike force in Ward and Lester were no match but we didn't start absolutely hammering them the way some of our fans do Brewster and others.

The younger fans these days don't have a clue how lucky they are they should focus their energy on getting behind Brewster the lad has had some serious injuries and fans of our club especially should be mindful especially after what happened to Armstrong having to retire at a young age.

Our club is going through a Golden age in comparison and instead of bashing the players they should be thankful of where we are because things could be a hell of a lot worse.
