Hope so but won’t be happy until BBD and Cannon are CONFIRNED.

There always that niggle of a last minute hitch

If he’s been spotted in the Directors Box, you’d imagine it’s done and I’d expect an announcement today.
Cannon seems to have gone quiet though since selling club accepted bid. No word on him accepting move is there?

Fairly often the principal terms with the player are agreed via the Agent before the offer is accepted (if both parties are keen to deal and negotiations are ongoing / close). I’d imagine it will be announced in the next 24-48 hours.

You'd think medical would have been completed over weekend. Shouldn't be much hold up now
Mate, how long have you been a Blade? There'll be a freak snow cloud making a steady trajectory from Shirecliffe to BDTBL and things will end up being completed at 12:01. Then BBD will be taken out by the Sniper on Friday morning and we might see him in time for the play off tears.

It's the Blades way 😉

That’s why young players go out on loan. They’re not ready just need breaking in and learning how to cope with playing footy in a stadium full of baying fans. Remember starting your first job, knowsnowt, doesnowt without being told/shown but eventually you got it right and became competent.
Would you have him back now he is competent. I wouldn't, he has got a bit better, but I would not want to watch him play for us again.

I'm not trying to convince you, I don't really care that we have a different opinion, it's what footy is all about

I doubt Wilder would have been joking around with the crowd and pointing him out like that pre match, unless it was all done and dusted. The only hold up on the announcement will be getting all the press stuff finalised, which does seem to take an age with us.

If you check out the main Sunderland and Stoke forums.

Initially Sunderland fans were quite confident of getting him, mainly because they assumed they were a bigger pull with more chance of promotion that us.
There was also rumours going around in Sunderland (maybe made up) that Sunderland is his preferred move.
However more recently they’ve resigned themselves to accepting he’s joining us instead and they are blaming the unfairness of parachute payments.

However Stoke fans are still holding out hope he’s going back to them on loan.
Apparently he really really enjoyed his time there, he’s a family man based in Liverpool, so the location of Stoke was convenient regards his home live.
Also apparently he had a connection with the fans and when their manager was asked at the weekend about Cannon,
he refused to rule out Cannon returning to Stoke on loan.

So you’ve currently got Stoke and Sunderland fans convinced he’d prefer to play for them, hence the delay and silence from the Cannon camp.
Some are even suggesting he might refuse a move to us and prefer to stay at Leicester, so he can go back to Stoke and Sunderland on loan.

Thats good knowledge on your part Sheffsteel but whatever trey think he won't be signing for either of them

Wilder has already made it very clear that the targets he has (first choice targets) have already made it very clear that they want to come to United. If you work on the basis (and I think it's safe to do so here) that Tom Cannon was a first choice target for United in that position....

Bottom line is that I believe what our manager says rather than some deluded and bitter fans of our fellow Championship clubs who are acting like a jilted bride on her planned wedding day. He will be signing for United shortly.

Leicester want cash.
We offer cash.
Mackems offer loan with uncertainty of 'cash only if promoted'.
Dunno why this is on BBD thread.

Wilder said in rematch presser he's training this morning available for selection for Tuesday night. 🫡

Seriously, why does this always have to be assumed it's a Sheffield United thing? 🤣 It's the nature of transfers.
Absolutely. The difference is that other teams either a) pay way over the odds to expedite the process or b) have been working on the deals for weeks like us but, as with United, a lot of the work before is hidden. The difference is that there's interest in what we're doing which generates the snippets and whispers on here.

The Cannon transfer is a great example. If he signs for us or Sunderland or Burnley or Everton... it will have taken the same amount of time. Yet supporters (of all clubs probably) will bemoan how long it's taken for THEIR club to get it over the line.

Even if we rush BBD deal through before 12 deadline wilder won’t play him tomorrow same when cooper and Rak signed

They'd never played for us before though. BBD knows the club, the manager, the system and the majority of his teammates. He'll start IMO.

Plus with Davies out, we're short in midfield for tomorrow. Might be a needs must.
