Can we not just buy him and get on with it.

It’s not so much the transfer fee….it’s the wages.

Next season see a massive drop in income….so obviously we’ll need to make cuts in wages not increase them
Otherwise we run the risk of a points deduction for effectively cheating and not living within our means.

Loans are short term so will be fine but long term commitments to wages could end up like a millstone around our necks (ie Brewster).
It would be amateurish and foolhardy by our new owners to risk everything on being promoted this season.

I suppose the significant and complicated part of any transfers relates to the promotion and non promotion clauses.

Agreed, loan with commitment to buy if we go up is the way forward.

Why do you assume we would effectively “cheat”, presumably by not paying football debts, when you know nothing about the new owners nor their funding of the club?

I wonder if we are using this alleged Cannon deal to force Southampton’s hand?

Southampton Football Club have announced that Henrik Kraft has decided to step down from his role as chairman of the club.

It’s been confirmed that Dragan Šolak, majority shareholder of the Premier League club’s ownership group will be taking on the role.

I don't think they are either or, I think we are wanting both players to play in slightly different positions?

Hopefully! I just can’t see us spending that much (although I guess BBD would be a summer transfer, so maybe a moot point).

for the record I think it’s bollocks….

I can believe it…..

BBD - everyone knows we want to sign him and if Southampton are asking for that ridiculous fee, I’d imagine Wilder would have no issue letting that be known

Injured players returning - Wilder has said that in interviews

3 agreed - again Wilder has mentioned in interviews 2 or 3 before Norwich so nothing really new

I don’t see why Wilder wouldn’t speak to a fan and give him information which isn’t new (other than the £15m)

The BBD one is nonsense- they’ll never get that money for him

Everyone knows they won’t including Southampton, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re just trying it on to see what they can squeeze out of us. They’ve probably leaked the Sunderland and Blackburn interest as well.
