He’s a Blade so I imagine even if it’s half the pay of his Luton job he’ll be fine and can live on spam fritters and turkey twizzlers to keep costs down.

I know Sheffield doesn’t have an airport but if he goes up to the top of Mam Tor he’s high up and he could flap his arms and pretend he’s flying.

Hits and misses no doubt, but the setup and ideas are the main thing. We have no setup or ideas.

This advert screams more of the same to me


“Extensive existing knowledge of domestic markets” as an essential criterion, but nothing equivalent about Europe or emerging markets. That’s exactly the issue we’ve had for years fishing in the same pond, familiar names, Championship experience, ex-Leeds/Forest/Leicester etc.


Nothing wrong with having domestic knowledge, obviously, but where’s the emphasis on finding undervalued players abroad before everyone else does? Coventry and Sunderland have shown what a wider recruitment model can look like.


Feels like we’ve bought some fancy scouting software just to find the same bloke from Leeds 20% quicker.
