Definitely a penalty. Also I think Hamer was offside for our first. Var would have gone against us had it been in the prem. Spot of luck for once.
The ref did not give the penalty because it was deflected on to the players arm ,that according to reports is the reason it was not given . Now that is a new one on me but according to the rules it can not be given if it is deflected on to a players hand or arm . So many rules on hand ball half of which are not well known .

In the first half it was there wing backs that were killing us especially there number 2, who Brooks seem to think was none of his responsibility. In the second half with Brooks playing on the side where Wilder was that threat was nullified(think Wilder addressed that at half time and kept telling Brooks to stay wide) so much so they changed formation and lost shape. We looked knackered especially Burrows but strangely in the last 20 minutes we seemed to get a fresh wind, saw the game out and could have had a couple more.

Thought McCallum coming on completely killed off their threat, he’s been a great signing

But we had a £20m player on our bench. Does anyone else realise that we had a £20m player on our bench? I think I'm the first person to realise that we paid £20m for one of our players that was sitting on our bench. I'm so clever that I noticed that we also had a £20m player sat firmly on our bench.
No. We had a player who cost £20m, not a £20m player now !!

Agree....it was potentially another John Lundstrum situation.
He was either onside by a few millimetres or offside by a few millimetres ( a big toe).

When it's so close....then always think it's best to allow the goal.

Just watched Tom Cleverley’s interview. He said the goalie’s initial diagnosis ruled out some of the more serious possibilities (ruptured Achilles and dislocation). Good news, but clearly something nasty has happened in there.

As for the game, on my viewing the Georgian lad’s miss at 2-1 looked like the big moment. Think we were due a little luck like that…

I promised you an in depth analysis so here it is.

That little bakery adjoining the ground was brilliant - I mean who even has that?!

Had without a doubt the best cheese ploughman's ever, the cheese had a kind of crunchy texture but it worked, the bread was a dark wholemeal and so moist and I can't say enough about the compact plastic carton it came in which held the neatly sliced sandwich together neatly prior to eating but then served as a handy receptical to catch every moreish crumb a messy eater like myself might otherwise lose.

At £3.50 well better than anything you could get in Waitrose for more money. Would defo go again.
No Beer in the ground ,or even in the off licence outside was a bit over the top. Boozy blades packed the boozer round the corner.
And the pies and hot dogs in the ground were disgusting.

Not seen it on telly but shouldnt we have had a pen when Peck went through ? And how close was COH when he robbed the keeper.

Yes Sitters, I thought it was a nailed on penalty and I said so at the time but got no response which I thought was pretty strange! Their defender went straight through him.

COH was very close but once the keeper fucked up I think he should score, you could tell by his reaction that he thought he should’ve done too, he did some very good stuff though yesterday and was 2nd in my MOTM stakes to a fantastic Peck. That second half from him, he was like a man possessed!

Cheers Roy, fuck off Watford, on we go!!
We can only get stronger and better from here on in, so let's enjoy the ride!
UTB!!!

It's such an embarrassing comment to make too, given that one glance at his scoring record would actually make you question how he's even got a place on the bench.

RE- £20m player on our bench = Not really, would anyone pay £20m now? If anyone offered us £100k i think we would snatch their hands off [this isnt a dig at Brewster just an acknowledgement of his injuries]

Yeah, I was told by a steward about the beer when I went in - he looked at me like it was a deal breaker!

Bizarrely enough he wanted to search under my hat - little did he know the marmalade sandwiches where in my pants.

Cheers Panchero!

So is there a point when it changes from "so close" to "not so close"?

'Sheffield United don't look like a team just relegated from the Prem. Looked really poor today'.

It's a completely different team. Same club but a completely different team.

Thanks Roy
Is argue we have a better squad this season than last when fully fit.

He didn’t touch the ball and took Peck, I said penalty at the time but there didn’t seem to be much fuss made.

What seems to have been forgotten in all of this is that, on the bench, there was a player that we paid £20m for.
