Interesting to see that for half those goals he was coming from the L side and half from the R.
It's a bloody good tactic to swap flanks.
Wish Hamer & Brooks/JRS would do it , even during games.
Defenders inevitably lose track of you.

Btw , can anyone see Moore scoring any of those goals ?
BBD runs at twice the speed for a start.
ive said same on another thread why we dont interchange our wingers during games is a mystery

Sometimes we are far too passive and predictable….it’s almost like we’re playing to instructions
Agreed. There is very little movement into areas that seem there to exploit. So we end up doing the same set of passes, on repeat. Burrows (for example) often receives the ball out wide, just as he’s being pressed. He either has to return the ball to the player that passed it to him, or make a very risky pass forward to a player who is also being pressured. The latter is one of the main reasons we lose possession so often.

See various Wilder interviews. He says we are a coached/schooled side I think were the words he used (or similar). So yes we are playing to instructions and he goes reight mardy when the players deviate from the game plan.

I think all managers go reight mardy when players don't follow the game plan

My only concern re BBD coming in as soon as this week is that usually the media are onto transfer deals and it's all very quiet. I know Nixon mentioned it a few weeks ago but there's nothing since. Hopefully it will hot up after Sunderland match.

Yeah and the same happens on the right with JRS circled with players whenever he gets the ball. We have to find ways of beating the press…ways of becoming more fluid and spontaneous. I’m not holding me breath

Done deal. Not sure if it's going through in time for Sunderland (A).
i hope so pal that would be a huge lift with the injurys blades have i never wanted him to leave Ben.B.Diaz hes class on right side winger/striker hes a good character to help great sufc talented young lads out,buy him not a loan please.all the best M8ty..utb..

It’s like watching chess pieces being moved around the pitch … and it’s a feature of Wilders style of play since the prem days … must be a joy to play against
I think a lot of the recent performances are due to teams packing the middle and then the lack of creativity we've got from injury to the likes of Arblaster, JRS, Seriki and Campbell. With some new bodies coming in this window I'm confident that we'll be far more creative with BBD in along with returning players mentioned above, bar Arblaster of course.

pretty sure that will happen we need hamer more central totally wasted out on the left.
100% placing Hamer out wide totally negates his ability to use both feet, resulting in predictable movement patterns that’s easier to defend against. I’d like to see the damage a central pair of Hamer and O’Hare would do supported by Souza, three really hardworking/composed players in the middle at this level.

2nd innit?

"The EFL has today confirmed the opening and closing dates for the 2024/25 summer and winter transfer windows.

  • The summer transfer window will open from 14 June 2024 and close on Friday 30 August 2024 at 11pm.
  • The winter transfer window will open on 1 January 2025 and close on Monday 3 February 2025 at 11pm."

So we could complete the signing tomorrow. However, https://www.efl.com/news/2023/augus...ahead-of-the-summer-transfer-window-deadline/

  • When is the deadline for registering a player in relation to the next round of fixtures?

Documents have to be submitted prior to 12 noon on the day prior to the date of the relevant match.

Even if we have a deal completed before midday tomorrow, BBD wouldn't be eligible to play for us until Thursday. Meaning his first game, assuming we complete a deal tomorrow, could be Watford on Saturday.

I noticed in the WBA game with Anel back that he passed through the lines much more than JLT or Souttar. He wants to play it forward rather than just endless back and forth across the back 4 and keeper.

Anel is also pretty useful at carrying the ball out which draws a midfielder into closing him down creating space for others. We need to exploit that more given our lack of attacking options in central midfield.

He likes a pass through the middle.
