Well, he didn't have the decency to do a lap of the pitch and applaud the fans today, I thought he would atleast walk over to the kop, but looked totally disinterested from what we could se, he couldve spoken on the mic to the crowd, wasn't bothered..... didn't strike me as someone that loved the fans and the club??

Reckon that could be out of decency and respect to the new owners, not been one to hog the limelight like Chancer has he

Stadiums all ours and PL standard
Dore academy on way
PL/championship level,not D1 and rotting

No owners are seen as perfect, but he’s tried, and when the jobs got too big he’s held his hands up and moved on - GLTTP

I will give it a listen in a bit. Does he explain his frankly bizarre choice of using random ex pats on Twitter as his mouth pieces?!

Spent most of his tenure watching the 49ers and avoiding the place..

Let's not be too hard on him though, he told the truth all the time, and said he couldn't afford it.... nobody else has ever been this honest with the fans.

The new guys, they've yet to show anything, so let's not be hasty to criticise the outgoing chairman who came in saying "I've bought it to make a profit" so he was in my opinion honest at the start and at the end..

He always communicated via the media though didn't he, what did some expect?

Don't disagree, but, I expect the new owners afforded him the opportunity to say goodbye, and a quick wave from the bow was a bit impersonal.
It's like ending a relationship with a text, not what you really want to be remembered for....
For everything he's done for the club, I'm sure we're all eternally grateful, but to have the opportunity to show appreciation the other way, and say a proper goodbye, and not be bothered and definitely not take it, is quite insulting really.

HRH wears a hoodie, I wear a hoodie - it's like there's a penny between us.

Best chairman in living history, sad that we have so many cretins following the club who don't understand business or football. Funny really, let the transfer window slip by without us shelling out 50 million and the same cave dwellers will be all over the new owners like every day's fucking groundhog day.

Some of you fans are unbelievable, we are in a better position than when he took over. There might have been a few issues but think where we would have been with mccabe. No interviews with new owners yet is there

Made some 20m+ signings that didn't work out but managed to sell the club top of the tree at the time with parachute payments, can't see he didn't give it a decent go considering he didn't have the money for it

Stop being so prissy. "Quite insulting"...really.

Without him I have no doubts we would have ended up in League 2 under McCabe.

Hi Blades, today Prince Abdullah joined us in the studio for an interview after he sold Sheffield United to COH Sports.

A number of topics were discussed, have a listen by clicking here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kfnz0q

I enjoyed that. I found it quite insightful on how an owner sees it.

Will there be an interview with the new owners

Like last season

Overall he did a good job & I’m sure he cares about the club. However, it’s simply a case that unfortunately he does not have the funds to run a Premier League or championship club without running up debts and/or relying on parachute payments. Not his fault, hence why he had to sell otherwise he’d always be sailing close to the wind of a financial disaster. I think he’d do a great job at a club like Bradford City -try & get them up from the doldrums in League 2.
