So lets compare the price of tickets for tomorrow.

Blackburn v Sunderland £20 in most areas, £24 in their most expensive stand.
Really don't know how they make any money because their season tickets are dirt cheap too but their gates are still low.

Coventry v Plymouth £30
Preston v Hull City £30 to £32.50
Norwich v Millwall £31
Bristol City v Luton £36 to £42, however membership only costs £25 and gives a £5 discount off tickets lowing prices to £31 to £37
Watford v Portsmouth £32 to £35
Derby v WBA £29 behind the goal, £33 in the corners and £37 down the side.
Stoke v Leeds CAT A game £30, £32, £35, £37 and £40
Middlesboro v Sheff Wed £32 to £36

Now compare it to our game against Burnley £36 in the Kop and £41 everywhere else + extra £1 if bought on line.

I'm going with family and decided to move our season tickets from the Kop on to the John Street corner stand, restricted view area, costing us £41 each.
Don't think people realise that we have one of the highest prices tickets in the entire EFL.
Really hope these new owners, don't decide to increase prices because they are already comparatively expensive.

Matchday prices are far too high. It shouldn't cost any more than £30 for a game.

I think you pay a fiver if you move from kop to side stands, if you move from side stands to kop you pay nothing.

It’s the difference between the Kop match day price and the John St stand, so was an extra £5 each.

Also agree regards season ticket prices, they are decent.

We’ve copied Chansiris trick by making early bird season ticket prices look a bargain compared to match day prices. The effect is that Wednesday and United have a very high number of season ticket holders.

Last season me and few around me on Kop were so demoralised we actually questioned whether to renew. However we all agreed that we’re kind of trapped because even if you only go to 60% of home games, season tickets still work out cheaper.

Renewing a ST on early bird becomes a no brainer.

The commercial idea of making season tickets more affordable is to generate money upfront.
I followed United for years, home and away to Division 4 and back up, travelling in rain and shine.
I don't get to Bramall Lane often these days, but I am a real supporter!
It takes me nearly 3 hours to drive to Bramall Lane, also many other Blades live a fair distance from Sheffield.
So just going to 6 or 7 games a year would probably cost me the price of a season ticket.

What a dick. Ever considered that many can't make weekday games due to work or travel so buying a ST would largely be a waste of money?

I was listening to a podcast I think it was the price of football and most clubs are losing £500k a week but some clubs can absorb the loss either with rich owners or the club has enough cash turnover to service the debt.

It's all well and good keeping 24,000 ST holders but it does nothing to increase the fan base as casual supporters are being priced out. If the new owners are serious about taking the club to the next level they have to make POTD prices more competitive and increase capacity at Bramall lane. The alternative is playing second fiddle to attendance FC should they ever get a half decent team. Do we really want to go back to being the poor relations?

Agree....think the "low price" myth comes from the league 1 days, when we were low priced.
Also season tickets have generally been decent , either frozen or a small increase each year, so the vast majority of fans think our prices are OK.

However what people haven't noticed is that since the club has been up for sale (past 3 or 4 seasons)
The pay on the day prices and gone up and up, with cat C pricing (£10 a match) and kid a quid being dropped long ago.

In fairness to the Prince, assume he's looked at the ticketing structure of our main competitors down in S6
and brought ours nearer to there's, but ensuring we undercut them by about 10% across the board.
Also we put our season tickets on sale much later than at S6 and have a reasonably long early bird period.

The Prince would probably argue the capacity is 31.5K,
so his objective is to set a price as high as possible but still be close to that capacity figure, which in fairness he's succeeded in doing.

My view is that it should be £30 kop £35 everywhere else in the PL,
£25 kop, £30 everywhere else in the Championship,

Well there are 12 clubs with their most expensive seats costing more than United's but there are 15 clubs with cheaper seats being less than United's cheapest. What that says to me is given the state of the Kop it is way overpriced. Our most expensive seats are about average for the division and that gives us an average price which put us bang in the middle compared to the rest of the division.
Norwich city are paying eye watering prices for this division, Boro are quite expensive too, notable too that Bristol City have top seats at £700. As for the pigs on the cheap seats we are only a couple of quid behind their prices but for better seats you will pay considerably more at the rust bucket. So we are still cheaper than the pigs but not by much for Kop seats more expensive seat work out around a fiver cheaper at the lane.
The trouble is we are selling just about everything that isn't restricted view so a sort of dynamic pricing kicks in we can put up price until people start to stay away, your Blackburn's of the division are nowhere near selling their grounds out so can't put up prices as there is little demand as it is.
