He’s like a Tyreece but the opposite way… needs a change of scenery
Agree a change might do him good
but it's not quite the same....Tyreece was always rated by most of the Stoke fans...he was a winger there with an eye for goal.....they think in a more attack minded team he would have scored more goals......it was just his recent injury record they didn't like.
Where as here Brewster is rated more for his attitude being a SUFC fan supporting the team and his off field camaraderie, agree he's very likeable.
His on field qualities are he generally strikes a ball cleanly with decent power and he has more to his game than just being striker.
Think that might be the issue now....he's hardly played as striker so totally lost confidence in that position...so he prefers to drop deep.
However my real concern about Brewster happened in the Wrexham cup home match last year.
1: He had a great chance 1st half where the ball fell to him unmarked near the penalty spot.
He had a great chance to score, a proper striker, slows down their minds, sees the goalie on his line and aims a firmly struck pass into one of the corners. However for some reason Brewster panicked and just blasted the ball, straight at their keeper who made a good save.
2: In the 2nd half of the same match Brewster is awarded a penalty.
Again a proper striker, decides what they are going to do before they take their kick and don't chance their mind.
Some firmly pass it into the bottom or top corners or some do a stutter run....hoping the keeper dives early then put it high, down the middle.
I thought Brewster took his pen like a defender well down the order in a penalty shoot out.
Again he seemed to panic and just hit it hard straight at the keeper, who made a good save.
Having technique, a level of calmness and class has nothing to do with being injured/ unfit or missing games. Put it this way, even when Harry Kane is 60 years old (20 years after being retired), his pace, fitness and strength will be shockingly poor but you can bet he'll still show good technique at taking penalties and striking a ball. Wish him well though whatever happens to him. Still hope he comes good at SUFC, isn't Christmas the time for miracles?
