Blasters Knee

Apparently it was a soft yellow according to Porktalk, which then blunted Bannon's game otherwise he would have flung himself in when we scored our goal.
I actually think most Wednesday fans where watch a totally different game.
Bannan could have still stuck a leg out to try and get the ball off Hamer instead of just running past him like he was late for his next trip to Turkey

In my extremely amateur opinion he has an mcl injury. Could be anything from two weeks to two months but I suspect it’s going to be on the more lengthy side.

International break seems like a blessing (for us) in terms of time to recover from his injury, but you’d imagine he’d be gutted if he’s missing the England under 20 games against Germany and Poland.

God they’re jealous aren’t they…jealous that a Sheffield lad has come through the academy to be the player he is…jealous that he’s not the first but also one of many….and Jealous that we have a lot more lined up too.

Sad bastards….yet they can wax lyrical about baldy Barry the gambler!!

At least they have Beadle eh…on loan…
They are green with envy - I'm 31 - trying hard to think but not sure they have produced any player of his quality in my lifetime

Wait - that can't be right. According to the pre-match view from Wednesday, we were assured that Smith was going to "kick them about and make them scared to go near the ball".

As soon as Souttar got tasked with Smith. He became anonymous in the final 15 mins of the game.

Saw him on Eccy road, said hello and asked him how he was as his knee was still in a brace, he said "it's alright" but I guess he can't actually say for sure after 1 day.

He was in the Banner having a good old sing song, if it was anything serious he would have been at home.

The guy who started it posts mote about us than his own shower so hopefully it's pig shit!

I’m not sure he is right
But let’s wait for official news
Not right about what? The injury? pure guesswork but I’m sure the fitness staff and manager who were present would have sent him home from the bannercross if it was really serious as walking around pubs would potentially make a serious injury more serious obviously. Also he was at Fanny’s after the game so again that points to a less serious injury. Fingers crossed just a couple of weeks out.

View attachment 196996says something when we can provide the direct replacement too!!!
Hope Blaster is just precaution!!🤞
Good luck Sydie!!

UTB!!!
SUFC: sorry England were going to have to pull Blaster out of the Elite squad because of injury.
England: FFS gutted about that.
SUFC: yeah but we can send Sydie Peck instead
England: that’s what I’m talking about! Cheers for that big dog
SUFC: and Marshy ready if you need him
England: Legend. Stick him on standby

They're saying on PorkTalk he's torn his ACL but surely they won't even do a scan till the swelling goes down?
They can do an MRI even if it’s swollen, but they’ll have done some checks on the pitch and after as there is a very simple check they can do to see what movement there is in the knee to see if the ACL has gone

You would have thought so although he was wearing a brace to protect the knee

Anyway, I believe he sees a specialist in London tomorrow, so best to wait for official news

No doubt they'll be preparing the open top bus parade to celebrate. Cunts.
I got the feeling yesterday that they had come to kick & injure our players and the violence of their unjustifiable "tackles" (when the ball was irrelevant because not winnable) only increased once they realised that twat of a ref wasn't going to punish them.
Mates have said Bannan's not a red coz his studs were not off the ground but imo that's bollox.
Our hapless victim was waiting for the ball to arrive - it was not a tackle as such because the ball was irrelevant - Bannan just threw himself , outstretched studs & totally out of control into our victim's leg - it's a miracle serious injury didn't result.
Bannan than quickly ran away from the prostrate Blade to distance himself from his crime , not even bothering to offer an apology - utter cunt.
Setting off a gathering of players to "discuss the incident".
The ref had been lax with pigs fouling all the first half and he could have made amends by a red for Bannan but cynically chose against.
A red could NEVER have been rescinded later by any fair judge looking at the video.
A sickening assault by an old pro who knew exactly what he was doing and a sickening failure by an ref who was either biased or so inexperienced that he could not perceive what the pig tactics were.
Made even worse by ref blowing up for nothing tackles by us.
I hope Burrows & Blaster are ok.
I wouldn't put it past Bannan to have tried injuring our lad to derail our season.
It was a horrible game but the right result and quite fitting that Bannan was beaten by Hamer for our goal.

Surely if he'd heard a pop etc he'd have come off immediately.

I thought it looked like a bad one when it happened. Twisted knee type injury. But he was able to play on.

Fingers firmly crossed.
