What would the league table look like if we drew every game going forward and remained "unbeaten" though?

Sunderland are top and have lost twice.
It's almost as if the 3 points for a win system is a bit flawed... just saying.

We'd finish about 16th or 17th.

Exactly.
So come the end of the season and we finish in a typical piggy position they can send all these tweets out saying "Yeah well it doesn't matter that we missed the play-offs altogether! We finished unbeaten and... and we will get a special reward from EFL for doing so".

Irrelevant bs is what it is. Something to say for a few weeks.

I'm sorry but you've lost me.

What would it look like if a big scary monster ate your mum and dad before you were born

We've won 5 drawn 3 though. Joint top, excluding the -2 start. No idea what you are just sayin.

Technically if we draw every game from now we’d have 5 wins and 41 draws so 56 points. That would leave us somewhere in the bottom half of the table.
Not sure what the point is?

Also we've got 18 points from 8 games in the 3 points for a win 'flawed system ' , would have us on 103 points for the season. Who knows?

-2 don’t give a f…..🎵
Amazing how many of these teams are not in the top seven after we've played them, not before we've played them, just after we've played them. But that's pigonomics for you.

At a point in the season where one defeat dropped you ten places.
Watford were second before we played them, Preston were joint top with everyone else when we played them, Derby were eighth when we played them, and I think Swansea were eighth as well up until last night.

Hull and Norwich are going nicely at the moment (after they've played us)

Getting back on track regarding the word moist . It’s often used in the Great Bolton area when arriving at the chippy and asking ..
As tha got owt moist ?
Ask Peter Kay he knows

I think it would depend if there was any sauce or if they were swimming in gravy...oh wait, perhaps you weren't being serious?

The point of the 3 points per game system is to make sure that playing for a draw is a less attractive option. We are where we are, not because of our draws, but because of our WINS.
However, we are at risk of turning winnable games into draws, and draws into loses because of our difficulty in actually scoring. I think OG is our top-scorer again this year.

If we drew all of the remaining games, we would have 54 points. Has that ever been enough to get into Championship play-off position?

It's a fair point. If we keep playing teams below us all the way through the season and Wendy are always playing teams above them then the only logical conclusion that can be drawn is that its a massive conspiracy. One for Rob Staton to keep his eye on, I reckon.

The point is that being unbeaten doesn’t necessarily equal success.

We could go the whole season unbeaten and not go up.
The only real measure of success is where you are in the table.

It doesn't guarantee success but I doubt there are many examples of a team going unbeaten all season and not finished top of the league.

The longer it goes on, just like the not conceding, I imagine the more the defensive players are determined to keep it going. An unbeaten run with not conceding can only be good. If we were perfect, we wouldn’t be in this league. So while we are working on our attacking imperfections, the defense has us covered. Good times.
