Harrison Burrows

If he’s as good as Robertson he won’t make 50 appearances for us
Obviously not at that level yet, I meant in his playing style.

22 years old and 200 senior appearances in the bag already.

I hear England are a bit short at left back?

I suspect he's got a lot more to give too, going on his stats at Peterborough.

I agree btw.

He's defensively much better than I thought he was going to be. Very competitive and great at coming away with the ball.
Then technically, he's very comfortable. Can receive and give in tight spaces and really looks to get forward.

He's put a few decent balls in and had a couple of decent shots, but I'd like to see a lot more of it.
Unfortunately for Burrows, I think Hamer has been told to try and make something happen every time he gets the ball, which limits Burrows opportunities in attacking areas.

I’d like to see the development of the team where we can get him forward a bit more because he had a tremendous output at Peterborough as a wing back. With Hamer in front of him in a four, he’s lucky to get forward at all.

Agree though. Looks a tidy player.
Yes and he has a decent goals tally at the posh . good shot on him good taking corners and free kicks also a good age . Think we stole him for that money . But remember the pigs have the best left back in the Championship and we let them have him . Never mind we will just have to get over it . I know we are gutted about it but we have to live with it ;)

So according to this forum we have a potential England left back and keeper on the books already 🤣🤣
Won’t get a look in whilstever we are in the championship but name me 1 or 2 who should be in front of him

Very impressed with Burrows. Jumping up a division can either take time to adjust or they just cannot hack it! He has been solid as a rock since joining and only looking to get better. Going under the radar for us abit compared to others but that’s a compliment.

Obviously not as good as Max Lowe, but nevertheless…………

We have a top LB at the club imo. If we could somehow sign Gilchrist and Souttar long term the clubs defence would be one of the strongest in the division and a sound basis moving forward

Would probably take £15m to sign them both. I'm sure both clubs would be open to offers, but under the Prince we're not going to have the funds.

I just hope Leicester don't consider taking Souttar back in Jan!

Colwill , Luke Shaw, tyrick Mitchell Rico Lewis , also there would be at least 3 or 4 centre halves that would be chosen ahead of him , Gomez at Liverpool , there's actually more chance of Kenny sansom getting another cap ahead of him

If Southgate was still in charge you’re right im sure he would put a centre half there, more fool him.

I stand by my opinion . The kid has every chance of being a top top left back and in the right circumstances plays with us for many years

I don't disagree, but there's a massive difference between being a top left back and an international footballer that's the point I'm trying to make

All the back five (Inc keeper) is very good, hence why we’re not conceding or even looking like conceding.

The issue is going forward, if you combined this current squad and added Berge/ NDiaye/ McBurnie from the previous championship squad we romp it.

We’re still 2/3 players short & need O’Hare to turn into the player we initially expected.

I agree but before Frank the Tank replies
“Only a pig would say that

Perhaps if we move Hamer to 10 and put Brooks on the left, that might improve things

It'd be good to see what he can do from a free kick, or even from long range in open play. His delivery from corners looks like he knows how to hit a ball.

Yes, after Max turned us down for them - so I’ve read 😂 - we’ve had another slice of fortune with our recruitment (because it’s always luck isn’t it?).

Agree 100% , there is too much reliance of O’Hare being on it , if he has a quiet game the team do also . Also we’ve noticeably created a lot less since Arblasters absence ⚔️

Burrows already had a good solid start to his career here & we do need to try & get him further up the pitch with assist stats from Peterboro , but in the current formation it’s proving difficult .
but Jesus Christ last season we had 3 of the worst left backs I’ve had the misfortune to see in Lowe , Larouci & Thomas you couldn’t make a half decent player of the combined 3 .. shite beyond belief !

I honestly think he will play for England. There’s only Leif Davis & Alfie Doughty who are really up and coming. Shaws days at left back will be over within the next 2/3 years.

Something must change up front and it definitely involves resting O'Hare.
It might involve a change of position for Hamer and/or
the introduction of Campbell or Brewster or
Brooks & JRS both starting.
But Wilder can't keep playing the same relatively unproductive attack.
