I wonder if Pompey himself will post on their forum doing a post match analysis, and sneak back here through the medium of Roy?

The reason we are we are both in our current positions are down to those ‘little mistakes’ that lead to goals , putting away those chances , being fitter or more experienced to see out games etc , having a stronger squad etc those margins make the differences in all leagues .
I agree they’ve nothing to fear like any newly promoted side but as we are well versed in also the longer they don’t pick up points the confidence drains .
Expecting a tough , tight game down there , but we go in with every confidence ⚔️

The fan who insists there's no difference between L1 and the Championship, while they sit on 3 points from 6 games is peak football. Even the PL is just football, same game. But as you go up defences make less errors and forwards punish mistakes more often
It's so evident - us for example this season, could've had 3 or 4 goals in some games but haven't been anywhere near clinical. (its an issue soiuthampton are having already in the prem with archer and BBD - both of which we'd have loved to have this year )
Counteract with a team as "middling" as Wolves in the prem at the weekend, one poor pass out and cunha takes one touch and rifles it in from 25 yards.

It's a bit rich Portsmouth fans calling us big and physical. In the 80's they were a big ugly side to play against. Most games when we played them they seemed to have a player sent off, including the infamous one in 1986 when they had 3 players sent off.
I think that's the first time I've ever seen a comment saying Wilder is a great guy. Must be a Blades fan.

I remember being in Derby before our game there and in this particular pub they had some internet channel on with Paul Parker previewing the game.

He described our midfield of Fleck, Duffy, and I forget the other player that day, as 'big and strong as you'd expect from Sheffield United'

It's a shame Pommpey was banned, I was looking forward to hearing him banging on about watching us in the flesh for the first since God was a lad

What as happened to Stefan Scougall ? anyone know?
He used to visit my wife's place of work and make overtures to her young colleague. Took her some scottish shortbread which she doesn't like so I had it, yum yum.

This belongs on the thread of tenuous links to famous footballers
