"Ivo Grbić has left the club to join Turkish top-flight outfit Rizespor on a season-long loan.

The Croatian stopper joined the Blades in January from Atletico Madrid and made nine top-flight appearances as a Blade.

This season his only action came in the first round of the Carabao Cup against Wrexham at Bramall Lane.

Good luck in Turkey, Ivo."

Never got going for us. Think this is the end of the road! Tara

Most importantly, he won't be making an appearance for us this season. That potential 'chance' has gone. We can then look at his situation again next summer when he just has the 2 years left on his contract.... jeeez.

Been interesting to know how much of his wages they are paying (if any)

24 hour recall clause😉

Fingers crossed he plays enough games and has a few decent games to make someone want him on a permanent basis next summer.

He's done 11 league and cup appearances without a single clean sheet. Back in 87-88, loan keeper Roger Hansbury made 5 appearances without a clean sheet and I think that was the previous club record for most keeper appearances without a clean sheet.

So Grbic at least has a club record to his name :-(

Our best hope must be that he does well enough for them that they take him off us permanently for no fee.
The sooner we can forget about this embarrassing episode the better.

4-0 down after an hour in his first game...granted he's playing Galatasaray, but come on.
I really wish this guy some luck, jesus, poor fella...

About time he found another job. Might not be as financially rewarding mind...

Roger Hansbury was a decent keeper for us before he broke his leg (night match, away, think I was there). Wanted us to swap him for Peter Withe in a straight loan to perm swap, but his broken leg put paid to that idea. Problem for him at the Lane was that he was behind a really crap defence (Stan the Man excepted).

Just watched highlights for a laugh, 5th goal was classic Ivo when he dives the wrong way.
He pulled off a few decent saves though, will be interesting how he goes on.
