Pleased for Anel, skill, commitment, where are you clever twats saying he isn't interested the miserable bastard.
Very good team performance, all did well, two well matched teams when in possession. Encouraging UTB
Why do you have to be a clever twat by posting a "I told you so" post?

Not meaning to start an argument, but what do you get out of it? Why has there always got to be "told you so" posts after every match? What do they achieve other than an ego boost?

Also, no one THIS season has said he looks disinterested. Any references to that were talking about LAST season, when he clearly wasn't interested.

Winning 1-0 when you score inside the first 5 minutes is a great win, especially after missing a pen , takes some doing in the Championship against a half decent opponent.

Who's saying I told you so ?
Anel has an expression that looks dour so people have a pop when he doesn't play well. I'm just sticking up for him.
Calling me a clever twat and then saying not wanting to start an argument ,yeah ok.

If you're not wanting to mean I told you so, then why ask "where are you clever twats saying he isn't interested the miserable bastard."? What was the point in this then?

You called people clever bastards for them having an opposing view to you, so don't go taking the moral high ground when someone calls you out on it and calls you one back.

You say you're defending Anel, but you're defending him from criticism that he isn't currently receiving, because no one has accused him of being miserable or not interested THIS season.

As I said, I don't want an argument, so I'll leave it at that.

To be fair - he did look disinterested at times last season. He also still makes fucking stupid ‘challenges’ in the box. But to add some balance, I thought he was good today.

What stood out today was the fact that we refused to be bullied or out fought.
It made a change to see us stand up to a very physical side. Even the scuffle at the end our players weren't slow to help their team mates out.
This team has a togetherness that, perhaps understandably we didn't have last season. And JLT was even on the pitch.

Special mention to Shackleton, thought he looked a breath of fresh air, when he came on. Very impressed 👏

Agreed and same for McCallum, looked very comfortable on the left and with the ball.

Think Arblaster got a few kicks today and certainly at the end of the first half looked to be limping slightly.

That was a DNA in the blood performance from the lads . That’s all we have no fancy bollocks just blood snot and thunder . Would be down to WBA battle of Lane numbers had this been in prem . Gotta love the championship. It’s for real men 👊💪🏻

I’m quite excited to see if Davies can recapture his early Everton form when he’s back from injury. If he does our midfield is light years ahead of anything in the Championship

I think it will do him good to not be rushed back. Last season we were just looking for anyone with 2 legs and a pulse to try to get a midfield together but if the team is pretty stable he can get brought back in properly.

Yep - agree with that. It’s our strongest part of the side by far so no need to rush at all
