Young striker Antwoine Hackford has made a late deadline day loan switch, signing for Port Vale for the remainder of the season.

Hackford, 20, moves to Vale Park with immediate effect, joining up with Darren Moore's League Two outfit.

Sheffield-born Hackford made his senior Blades debut as a 16-year-old in 2021 and has since had a number of loan spells and impressed in United's U21s outfit.

Oliver Arblaster had a loan spell with Port Vale last season.

Best wishes, Antwoine.

Genuinely the roughest place I've ever seen in England, and the most violence I've seen at a game.

Good luck though Hacky lad...
Agreed, not a nice area.

For me, the roughest will be Blackpool. I wandered away from the seaside onto Central Drive. I have never seen so many needles on the ground. Got hassled by a ‘roadman’ (he was about 14) but I couldn’t understand that stupid Lancashire accent mixed with some Mancunian slang. Ended up leaving me alone.

Good luck though, Hackford.

I bet he’s due a testimonial next year, seems to have been around forever yet hardly ever played for us.

Considering how light we are in the striking department, him scurrying off to League One isn't exactly a glowing endorsement of his abilities. One assumes One (pun fully intended) and Marsh are now ahead of him....

Hopefully it's a sign we're getting things a bit better off the pitch if we're jettisoning these youngsters rather than keeping them around...

Port Vale is the only ground in 50 years where i felt nervous during the match . Really vile fans wanting trouble for no apparent reason .

Roughest place Oldham 74,attacked coming out of the bus. Texaco cup game. 30-40 oldhamhooligans stormed the busses on arrival. Crazy days.

The only time I felt nervous at a match was at Bramall Lane in 2002/03 when we knocked Leeds out of the League Cup. I ended up sat in the South Stand in G&H block where the knobheads sat, and the atmosphere between our fans and the Leeds fans was nasty all night. When it all kicked off at the final whistle I couldn't wait to get out of the ground.

Roughest place I ever saw was somewhere we went past on the train in London on the way to The Valley.

It was like a scene from the ending of Full Metal Jacket.

There was actually a car on fire in someone's front garden.
Are you sure it wasn't the actual set of Full Metal Jacket?

After his injury issues he has needed a decent season long loan at League 1 level.

Hopefully he does well.

He's in league 2 in a team with plenty of striking options, hope he can get some game time.

Port Vale
Grimsby
Bradford
Birmingham
Portsmouth
After 45 years travelling with the blades these are rough hole places. I'd add Stoke and hull to the list

I think its all down to personal experience but I'd endorse your PV, Birmingham and Portsmouth choices. I'd add Ayresome Park, Roker Park and the Baseball Ground to the list.

Never ever felt nervous in a ground worst ever for me was at in Brum 70/71 promotion season getting off the coach a fair way from the ground and as we exited from the coach we were attacked with Iron bar wielding Zulus who put 3 people in hospital ( I was fortunate only I only got a kicking with DM polish left on my clothes) my revenge was gained by John Tudor scoring the only goal of the game but I was very very wary making my way back to the coach as a fifteen year old.
