Great thread and very unique! Like the edgy way you’ve spelt his name wrong !

As ever UT

I'm not criticizing the bloke, as I said I've done nowt but back the guy. Just can't help but think this is his last season to shine. I won't mention his price tag

Missed an easy chance and then has been fairly anonymous. Classic Brewster performance so far

Thought the last league game wad more Classic Brewster
...looked lively...was a bit unlucky missing some of his half chances.....showed plenty of promise but missed a fairly easy chance.
......surely playing like that it's only a matter of time before he scores etc etc......was the same with Osula too.

Genuinely feel bad for him. Might have some of the worst luck in football this lad. He didn’t ask to be signed for so much money nor did he ask for the injuries that have happened to him. While he’s at our club, I wish him nothing but the best. When he leaves, I hope he does well.

Seriously though, it happens on here and it happens in his instagram comments section, do we feel the need to bring down our own players? Brewster has at least given a toss about the club, which is more than some of our current and former players.

Hoping for the best, Brewdog.

but his agent would have insisted that he should meet their wages demand to make him one of our best paid players.
He will have insisted his client is the most sort after English striker in England and we are lucky to get him ahead of the competition.

See what you mean about bad luck but the contract we've given him probably sets him for life.
So financially he's under no pressure, even if he has to go down into the lower divisions.
Also agree...he does seem bothered....that's why he's still supported and reasonably popular.

Yeah….really sad for all parties. Call it what you want….bad luck, bad signing, injuries…..he is simply not suited for ‘men’s level football’….. he has had 1/2 a good season at Swansea & that is it. Not sure where he goes next season… but unless he improves dramatically he will be released next summer.

bye bye brewster pay the lad up and wave goodbye
Don't be daft, there is a player in there and he's going to come good.

Well that's what we have been told for past 4 years.

I personally think he was more productive injured acting as an active vocal cheerleader on the bench.

His £22m legacy - winding up the pig fans.

Awful luck with injuries and having that many at a young age is going to impact his all round game.

If he ends up leaving us on a free I think he will continue to struggle at other clubs.

Just how many chances will he get? He offers nothing. Wilder must cut his losses and he must get rid of him or make him our absolute last resort option. Ryan One deserved to start tonight. I don’t think it’s a lack of effort from Brewster, just that he’s seriously not good enough. Hopeless.

Just pay up his deal
I don't understand this. I don't rate Brewster at all but what would paying up his deal achieve? Even as 4th choice he may as well be here if we are paying anyway. If we offered a reduced pay off why would he take it?. Best scenario would be to loan him to whoever could cover the highest percentage of his wages IF we have funds to sign a striker or two.

Thought he did OK overall tonight.

His link up play in the first half was decent, though the should really have scored when he had the cut back to him, and I think he hit the post. Second half...he didn't get involved as much as he could have done but then we certainly didn't play to his strengths and try and through balls for him to run onto as we were so pedestrian in getting the ball moving in their final third. We seemed to consistently faff around withnit at the back and then only try attacking when they're had all got back into their shape again. That's not going to help a forward when it's just over crowded in their final third.

Brewster was no worse than any other player tonight (Hamer excepted) so it's bizarre that some on here want to keep digging him out for criticism - more so than others.

Should have fucked him off ages ago. All I've ever really seen are a couple of reyt hard shots, very few of which went in

He does he needs to be played as an out and out striker and get a run of games.

Doesn't help having a manager that is tactically inept.

He’s a striker that cost £20m who never even looks like scoring. I think it’s borne out of frustration as much as anything.

Nice lad, unlucky, etc. etc. but it’s best for all parties he finds somewhere else to play football.

I'll judge him when I see him on the pitch with the team playing to his strengths I.e. midfield playing early through balls for him to get on to. Thr problem is (and this is a fair criticism as such) is that the lad for one reason or another contract seem to stay fit for any length of time to get up up to speed. That's a fair comment I think. But i stand by my earlier post. Tonight his link up play first half was decent and we didn't help him (or ourselves) by the way we took so long to break between the lines. I don't blame Brewster at all for the second half as he had no service from midfield or out wide (neither did any other forward we had on thr pitch tonight either).
