It will be interesting to see if £18m is tempting for the new owners. The £18m line is clearly just Nixon filling column inches.
If IF they’d been remotely willing to go to £18m they’d have done it before his release clause expired.
Do people not think that his agent would have touted him round to Leeds if Gus really wanted to go and play there before the clause expired?
Nixon has obviously seen the release clause figure and done 2+2=5.
Obviously tested the water with a low ball to see how skint we are and to appease the growing unrest amongst their support to be seen to be doing something

At last. Someone talking sense.
Who’s talking about it? Just a bunch of fannies who believe anything they read on the internet that’s negative about the club as far as I can see. Nobody important & certainly nobody connected to the club.now talking about selling our best player to our fiercest rivals for promotion.
This. People also ignore that Leeds supposedly did the same thing for Szmodics and Rowe this summer, bidding an amount that wont get accepted but appeases their fans so that it looks like they're trying, then never returning with a proper bidA Leeds based journalist said yesterday that it was very unlikely they’d return with another bid.
Which seems like United have either told them to fuck off or quoted a ridiculous price.
Yet everyone chooses to believe the most negative slant every time.
It’s a decade since we were selling our best players for the first low ball bids
If Nixon's right with those prices, likely that he doesn't know how much Leeds offered so he's just estimating. If they've offered £13m already and we're only asking for £18m then it's possible.
Saw some chat that they want to use Piroe as a makeweight.
Not sure he's a Wilder player.
If Nixon's right, I'm surprised we've set the bar so low.
Particularly given we're negotiating with a promotion rival.
We shouldn't even consider an offer less than £20m.
I agree with you, however, did Leeds expect to lose Rutter though at that point? Brighton's bid might have been unexpected, it feels like Burnley & Leeds are panicking a bit at the moment and trying to sign everyone. The £18m line is clearly just Nixon filling column inches.

Please sell him Blades just to get rid of this negative moaning arsehole. This is what I said a few weeks ago about all the back slapping saying it has been the best window ever.
And then we do nothing since and now talking about selling our best player to our fiercest rivals for promotion.
This would be the biggest insult of the lot and I for one will be completely done with the club if they go down that route.
Can take him leaving for a big fee to the Premier League but not to them dirty b@stards.
But if that's right then I presume they couldn't sign Hamer until they'd got Rutter off their books & Hamer's release clause expired before they sold him. I doubt they would have signed Hamer and risked being stuck with more financial outlay of having both Rutter & Hamer that would have been quite a gamble.Leeds had £190m instalments due this summer. They expected to lose nigh on £200m in talent this summer
Shurrup ya naughty sulky boy. This is what I said a few weeks ago about all the back slapping saying it has been the best window ever.

I wouldn't worry. I would bet my packed lunch on him not going to Leeds if he goes anywhere at allThis is what I said a few weeks ago about all the back slapping saying it has been the best window ever.

Negative? so not wanting us to sell our best player to a rival that we all despise with a passion makes me negativePlease sell him Blades just to get rid of this negative moaning arsehole.
Selling Hamer and replacing him with inadequate replacements makes zero sense.I don't want Hamer to go but feel like something has to give somewhere because when Johnston comes in on the left one of Arblaster, Hamer or Souza is going to be on the bench and I just can't see any of them likely to be in that position.
I felt the same when Souttar came in with Anel and I'd therefore expect Anel to go before the window closes.
still think souza will be on his wayI don't want Hamer to go but feel like something has to give somewhere because when Johnston comes in on the left one of Arblaster, Hamer or Souza is going to be on the bench and I just can't see any of them likely to be in that position.

Look back at your previous posts then ask yourself why am I on this forum if all I ever do is slag the club off. Now that's strange.Negative? so not wanting us to sell our best player to a rival that we all despise with a passion makes me negative
What a strange individual you are.
Souza would like to go but problem is no one has come in for him.still think souza will be on his way
