FWIW Leeds apparently going after Rangers winger now, so not sure why people think they've hijacked this deal..
One of my mates who supports Rangers told me “Hes a decent winger but inconsistent. Id expect Leeds to be able to afford better.”
Hardly smacks of Ritter levels.
No issue of they bring in a few of this quality.
I actually think Leeds are in trouble. They’ve had two defensive collapses already, including Bogle as an active culprit, who was supposed to add to their defence. They’ve gradually lost their two most potent attacking threats and you do wonder what impact that will have on the rest. Gnonto has already done his best to force a move once.
They’re left with a number of players such as Wöber and Aaronson, who were so committed to the cause they couldn’t wait to fuck off on loan as soon as they’d got an R next to their name.
They talk of second season syndrome with it being a struggle to consolidate in the Premier League. I’d argue there is a similar phenomenon in the Championship. Some players may hang around for that one year to give it a go to bounce back immediately. Come the second year, they’re now bona fide Championship players. I’m sure a few more like Gnonto, Meslier, Aaronson, Wöber, Struijik and Firpo, mainly foreign lads, will be onto their agents pining for top flight football even at a lesser league but with perhaps some European football.
I think this gets worse for them before it gets better and they could have a horrendous August before things settle down.
Question is will the fans understand or will they already be on Farke’s back by then?
