Does stink a bit.

Seems like we've bent over backwards to compensate Palace up to £2m and agreed to give JRS a very generous contract for the year (about a 300% increase on his current salary).

If reports are accurate, it seems his Agent's seen all this and wondered why he isn't getting rich off the deal and made some greedy last minute demands for himself.
If I was JRS I'd consider who's interests he has at heart moving forwards.

I might have a minority view on this, but I can recall a time before agents. Players were often at the mercy of their clubs,
and of course this was well before Sky got involved, so full circle and here we are. Of course there are agents who are rubbish,
but given the characteristics of some players, well they need guidance or they'd get eaten alive, so swings and roundabouts I guess.

Whatever happened with JRS' paperwork it seems as if it's being sorted, which is in everyone's interest. So good luck to the lad,
let's hope he's a success for us and is part of a triumphant team this season. Once the agreements are done and dusted they'll be
filed away and all we'll want is for JRS to excel while he's here.

How do some of you know so much,? nothing official has been said but usual suspects wanting their moment of fame and telling us where it's gone wrong, has it been confirmed it's anything to do with his agent for the delay?

Weren't hugged as a child and now crave attention and acceptance.

Agreed, even if a player is a clever, switched on lad, it’s still ridiculous to expect him to negotiate a multimillion pound deal.

Jude Bellingham signing for Real Madrid is a good example, does anyone seriously expect a 20 year old to negotiate that deal alone? Or even his parents, who’ll have absolutely zero experience in that area.

I see adult nappies have gone up in sales again- I think this will be done by tomorrow.

I've often thought the governing bodies should run this side of the game (only problem being would they be non corrupt and capable). If every player had to have a registered agent employed by the governing bodies set at a certain rate, greed wouldn't come into it. They would be more able to focus on what is best for the player. Like you say they really do need agents but the amount of power they have at the minute and the amount of money they are taking out of the game makes me sick.

Genuine question here. I'd never heard of him before, is he any good? I'm sure he must be but I'm just a passenger in all of this.
No ones actually sure but at page one of 1 he was good at page 41 he's become totally indispensable and better than Ili. It's like when Berge was injured his quality increased every minute he didn't play. It was quite disappointing when he was back - couldn't head or tackle and folks went round him like a traffic cone, just like prior to lay off.

Swings and roundabouts mate. It's a game/business that's awash with money. Just look at where SUFC are and even some of their players are probably on £40K a week, which for most of us is unheard of weekly amounts to enjoy life on. Managers are no different when it comes to negotiating their contracts, so I guess that agents are part of the food chain. It applies in almost ever part of the entertainment world, agents represent their clients and expect to be paid a price that reflects their input. As a note, I imagine that agents have it written into their agreements with a player exactly what percentage of a deal they can expect.

Yes money in football is mad, tbh I'd love to go further with wage caps etc and try to find more money to charities and grassroots football. That's a pipe dream I just think agents could be one we could tackle. Their slice of the pie seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Granted it's probably stories of these "super agents" driving my resentment more than anything.Never going to happen but I wish it would.

I'm already tired of him ,Palace and his agent . I'd be happy for us to tear up the deal and move on .
Doubt that'll happen but wish clubs wouldn't bend over backwards to give a young footballer a great wage and opportunity. Fuck him .
Mate, we have absolutely no idea what the issue is 😅
That'd be completely cutting off our own noses.

He's a wizard of the dribble and can score goals but he can't defend and can be inconsistent.
He was loaned out to Charlton 2 years ago and was really impressive in league 1, far too good for that league.
Last season Palace planned on playing him in the PL, he only played 6 matches due to having a lengthy serious injury.

He's played well for Palace in pre season and many Palace fans assumed he'd be included in their squad this year but Palace announced they want him to go out on loan to a Championship club. At that point half the teams in the Championship wanted him. Palace know he's in such demand they've attached several clauses and made him expensive to sign, even on loan. Most of the championship clubs couldn't afford him
leaving Sheff Utd, Leeds, Hull and Watford as the only clubs willing to meet their demands.

The player has had free choice from those 4 clubs and chosen to join us.
Probably due to Wilders plans about using wingers and convincing him he'll see plenty of game time and have other creative players around him.
He has a big reputation but is still a bit of an unknown, many neutrals will be interested to see if he's the real deal or not.
As someone said earlier he could be all hype and no substance, like another Ben Woodburn, but I doubt it.

Sounds like the agent has chucked a late spanner in the works.

Tell him to f off, or alternatively he can have 20% of whatever he can get someone to pay for Grbic. That'll show how good he is.
The snag comes due to an issue with an agent’s fee with missing paperwork on the player’s side not being signed as of yet.

Him with the flocked wallpaer jacket on.
