Some ITK on the Plymouth reported a deal had been done at 10pm tonight. Sometimes I think local reporters just scour fans forums.

The Plymouth fan says he’s coming up to Sheffield for the medical Tuesday with the deal formally announced Wednesday.

He says the deal is 3 million plus add-ons. The PA fans are really gutted, there are strong similarities between Coopers status at Plymouth compared to what N’Diaye was here. They saw him as their big star and offered him a contract to make him their highest paid player, they wanted to build a team around him and sell him to a PL club for a large amount eg 15 million, so the sale is a real knock against their club losing a local potential legend. Actually it’s probably more like Arblaster refusing to sign a contract and we end up selling him for 5 million.

They say we’ve got ourselves a total bargain, they’re convinced he’s PL level goalkeeper..
Cooper is from Exeter I think and probably isn't a die in the wool Plymouth fan like Arblaster is with united.

It's never nice to lose a popular player and not signing a new contract is always annoying but it happens and in Coopers case he probably just wants to give himself the best chance if a move and dunning a new deal will reduce that chance.

Ive heard that personal terms already agreed quite a while ago so should hopefully be wrapped up fast as owt.

He might be correct, but how on earth would a Plymouth ITK know when we are going to announce a signing? Feels like conjecture.

Anyway, if we've done a deal at £2m that's fantastic business.
Fairly low-risk signing in monetary term, with a lot of potential upside.

Fingers crossed we do a very robust medical and everything is OK. Would expect personal terms are already agreed through intermediaries and form a part of his drive to come here.

A mere 5 hours on one of Cross Country's excellent 3 carriage trains with plenty of standing room by the toilets.

Got one from Newcastle to Sheffield in June.. we sat in the doorway on the floor all journey.. did my bad back no good at all.. walked through Sheffield railway station like C3PO

Can't wait to see him in action

Injured in warm up 🤦‍♂️
Bet he's devastated. He was literally in Sheffield on Sunday.

Ample time to count a suitcase full of money 🤣

This is the one position we had to fill imo. Since Henderson and Ramesdale we have not had a decent enough keeper. Love ya Wes and you did us (and now yourself) a good job but we needed this if he’s as good as they say.

I lose the will to live standing to Leeds or Manchester.

American colleagues were over recently. They stood from St Pancras to Sheffield

Bad back is the bane of my life had to give up Football at 22, Golf at 40 , going on top at 50..

My backs packed in at 40. I have to sit down every 10 minutes.

Might have to throw up a 'Bad Back Wankerz' post, just so we can virtually massage each other.

Who was the last keeper we owned that had fan favourite status? This guy could get it if he's as good as everyone seems to think he is. His distribution looks mint, being able to throw it quickly over the halfway line gives us a great outlet.
If fans favourite means most talked about with most posts on here there is only one contender. He was on the bench last Friday.

Argyle fan here.

You’ve definitely pulled our pants down with the transfer fee if the rumours are true. Please look after Cooper. Got a good GK in him
As we learned when a player is in the last year of a contract you rarely get the true fee
