Leeds fans up here think they are now looking elsewhere. Yorks Post are apparently usually on the money for Leeds utd stuff.

Wasn't Nathan Hemmingham from there? Or was that Yorkshire Live? He was on point with everything United as well

Back up No 9
Two wide attackers (JRS and Campbell please)
GK (Cooper please)

These four are must haves.

If i was greedy, I’d also like a proper RWB in the mould of Bogle. Gilchrist looks good at RB in a 4 and seems his best position is RCB in a 3. But we don’t have a proper right wing back right now (hopefully Curtis is there in long term).

Whilst I love the fact that we’ve gone to 4231, let’s no pigeon-hole ourselves again. There will be plenty of times when moving to a back 3/5 will be useful and so we’ll need someone a bit like Burrows on the right.

Agree with all of that mate.

Yorkshire evening post, aka known as Leeds United's local paper. Seems to recall they sponsored Leeds also in the early 90's?!

How many times have you seen Sakyi? I’ve never seen him play.

Other than Brooks’ poor shot (which deflected off someone and then we scored from it anyway), what else from his output was terrible?

Was it his assist for the first goal? Or the when he skinned about 3 to get to the byline and cut back to Moore in the 6 yard box, who then missed?
I thought he played well when he had the ball - very promising

To be honest i would be reluctant to complete a loan deal for Rak-Sakyi because the demands of his parent club are demanding :

a) 7 figure loan fee at least £1m
b) Option to recall player in January ‘25
C) Guaranteed selection if fit
d) An increase in the players current salary

I am sure he would be an excellent acquisition but i feel Crystal Palace /player are writing the loan agreement too much in their favour, sometimes you think you are being taken for a mug…….if it was me i would look elsewhere,he needs to want to play for us,i get the feeling it’s all about the deal.

We get some of that money back if they recall him.

From what I've of his show real he looks a class act. We need natural wingers and this lad is probably the best option available to us. He might have a recall clause but I'd image the majority of prem loan signings have one installed as a safety precaution. I think this lad would be a huge signing if we can pull it off.

Sorry, I dont get it, what does that mean?

He’s just repeating what already been reported. It means, as reported he’s verbally agreed to join us.

Now it’s just a case of having a medical and signing the paper work (the formalities).

People are 90% confident he’s ours but of course there’s always a 10% chance we could be gazumped right at the end.

Might sound daft but think our convincing performance against PNE might have the effect of making players with the smallest of doubts wanting to play for us.

No Johnny Rowe in Norwich squad. Looks like Leeds all but signed him

See your point, it does have a touch of the Brewsters about it.

Let’s not forget Sakyi, like Brewster was regarded as one of the hottest young talents available.

Palace know they can call the shots because there are so many admirers. Southampton want to buy him but Palace think he has a big future at PL level and refuse to sell so early in his career.

Southampton offered £7-10m or something for him permanently and they turned it down, so if they’re going to loan him to the league below instead then 100% they’ll want assurances of playing time as well as a hefty fee and contributions - no qualms there, they hold all the cards but I’m convinced he’ll be excellent for us.

His spell of impressive form for Charlton in league 1 was 2 seasons ago.

Last year he stayed at Palace and it was a wasted year as he played only6 matches for Palace in the Premier league.

Both the club and the player will be desperate that he sees plenty of game time this season, so you can understand there will be contractual penalties if he’s misses matches. As Leeds have a few good winger type/ attacking options you can understand why they aren’t the attractive option for JRS as many automatically assume.
