Where is this good football that some think we should give Weir more time to develop? We don't play good football. We play slow, negative, boring football. We never run with the ball. We never get forward in numbers. We pull everyone back for corners even when we are losing. We never look like scoring. We can't keep clean sheets. "Never say die" isn't a description that can be levelled at us these days. We are the easiest team to play against in League 1 at the moment - teams know they only have to score once and it's game over.
The suggestion that the only alternative is the Wimbledon style of the 80s is daft. The fact is we played better football under Wilson (1st season), Kendall and Warnock (at times) than we've seen under Weir so the suggestion that this is some kind of long overdue revolution is bonkers. I want positive football, pace, power, determination and a pride in the shirt. We've seen none of these under Weir.
