Also I think it’s funny that he said Wilder wouldn’t let him go if he didn’t have people lined up… like Wilder has any say in it whatsoever if Osula gets sold 😁
He will be told what forward we are bringing in on loan and will rightly talk as if he is on board with it, understandable given his situation

Don’t get the negativity. We need the funds to bring in 2 or 3 players . And if it means we can keep Hamer it’s a no brainer.
Hamer got a release clause. Below the release clause we wouldn't sell anyway. Release clause met, we have to sell. So Hamer not a factor.

I doubt very much Wilder would let him go unless he had even a couple of irons in the fire
not neccesarily west ham players with burns ,,, obviously
im thinking same wilder has to have other players lined up to have allowed this deal to happen im certain it now gets us cooper at the least maybe even worrall who knows but it might enable us to bring 3 loans in as well i think tom cannon at leicester might be the striker hes after and maybe even a double deal from them with souttar we know hoever is coming in at right back

El accounto basically saying it’s just the one transfer that the funds will be used for, probably Cooper. He says we have loans lined up that we were not waiting on funds for and seems were going ahead anyway.

So basically we will get one player out of the Osula transfer fee if he’s right.

Think I said this earlier in the thread... A lot of potential, but he turns 21 this week and I can't recall him having any impact in a league game (except a few goals for Derby in L1)?

I was looking forward to him trying LW this season and Mojo had me additionally hyped about this idea.

But if we're really being offered £10m+ for him I think it's a very easy decision to sell. Short term it should fund three excellent Championship players.

If we did that with every player, we would probably end up in the national league.

Sorry mate but that's a load of tosh.

If we did that for every player we would consistently be able to improve and evolve our squad.

£10 mill for Osula right now is good for us in our current situation

But he scores 5 goals for them next year he’s worth £30 million

I suspect even if we had new owners he’d had have to go if any big team wants a player you may aswell sell and reinvest

We would be in an ndiaye situation next summer if he had a good season anyway

It’s a poor decision and the notion that we will spend all the proceeds on incoming transfers is fanciful and even more laughable is the notion we would get three excellent championship players when our recent track record is we would just buy utter foreign rubbish like tiny Bernie Traore and Garbage the goalie

If we’re looking at the same post it’s not actually what he said, but you could read that into it if you wish.

You could look at Leaburn at Charlton as a replacement for Osula/Jebbo he’s not quite as good but he’s big, mobile and athletic and he has a respectable scoring record at league one level for a 20 year old. He’s got a year left on his deal according to Transfermarkt so you’d probably be looking at a couple of million as opposed to the 4/5 he’d cost otherwise. Might be a sensible way to reinvest some of the fee into an asset that has a reasonable chance of increasing in value at a position we’re now very short in and a player who’s physical profile matches the ones we’ve lost.

Exactly. He’s confirming that it should give us the funds to complete a transfer we’ve lined up and we’re waiting on, whereas we don’t have to wait for the loans.
That isn’t the same as that’ll use up all the funds and other deals can’t now be made now funds are in place.

As I said originally, it depends what you want to read into it.

More recently we've signed O'Hare, Moore, Burrows...

His career could go either way, but in 5 years you might say it was a great decision, if he doesn't make a big step up.

Eh? He says it will give us funds for a transfer we have lined up. Loans we have lined up we were not waiting on funds for. That’s basically what he’s saying like I said previously?
He’s not saying we’ll get one transfer out of the deal, not in my reading of it anyway. He’s saying one deal that has been done can now be completed, the loans aren’t impacted.
That doesn’t mean they won’t now go and use more of it elsewhere on a deal not yet lined up.

We’ll find out soon enough.

I suppose your theory is based on the owner wanting to invest?

As you’ve edited I’ll reply again.

I never said it would use up all the funds?? Or that all other deals can’t now be made…. What I have gone off is what he Actually said, he clearly says it will free up funds for ‘a transfer deal’ which would imply the one transfer, so what I wrote would be correct if you are actually just following what he said and nothing more.

As for the loans, yeah that’s what I said.

We have sold Traore, Jebbo and Osula, let McBurnie go. BBD and Archer have gone back. We have signed Moore and you could argue maybe O hare for the forward roles. 6 out 2 in. Proves my point right, 4 or 5 players down up front. We are massively short in certain key areas. We have no reliable goalie and no decent right back. It takes us weeks and even months to sign players. The prince is destroying us before our eyes and folk just can’t see or admit it.

You’ll never win. Give it up.
