It won’t be £2m up front, Newcastle will know we’re desperate for cash and will try and get away with the bare minimum up front. If it's £10m upfront, we can't complain.
If it's like £2m + add ons upto £10m. I don't see the point
If the situation were reversed an WE were buying Osula from ANOTHER club, absolutely no-one would be in favour! Why is it crazy to sell a striker that’s never scored a league goal for us and would be starting the season as 3rd choice for £10m? Huge gamble for Newcastle if he goes. Good business for us
You could have just said 2.Not sure. Their stats are best looked at in the future though our we may as well chuck Arblaster in for whatever we can. All found themselves Premier League clubs with likely loans to the Chanpionship and all likely have financial ceilings x 5 and 10 what we made on them. Hands tied in some ways, original comment airing what a shame it likely will be with all 3
Well we are left with the prolific Rhian,no worries.
One of the biggest shames for me though is this new formation looked ideal and a 6ft 4 lad with strength and pace to burn from the wide fwd position would have caused havoc. Hopefully we can find like for like for an outlay of a couple of million
Very much seems like a post to revisit in 5 years.Osula, Jebbo and Lankshear gone for combined 14m.![]()
Part and parcel of being skint I suppose.
Not sure we did get upset about those you mentioned. And yes pointless getting upset about the 3 individual reasons Lankshear, Osula and Jebbison all went for but our net profit versus net deficit in the winning these types of transfer battles is always negative. Made a couple of million on the recurring joke Jordan Slew and made an untangible deficit on many many players we sold "because we had to" - we just need to be run a bit better that's all.. On the plus side selling now and getting 2 or 3 targets that fetch a fee could in theory bring an extra 6-10 points to our August/Sept points total which could be worth 150m+ so glass half full...You could have just said 2.
So 3 strikers with 2 league goals between them.
Lankshear was never going to stay as we poached him from down south. So pointless getting upset about him. Jebbo was constantly injured and never looked remotely close to the first team when he was given his chances. Osula was the only one that showed any promise, but still never scored a league goal and we could get up to £15m for him. A completely unproven player.
Remember when people got upset about Tyler Smith, Ky Gordon and Zak Brunt? Where are they now?
Eh? If we weren’t skint, we wouldn’t be selling in order to fund transfers. Not really.....wait until the end of the transfer deadline and then judge.
Think everyone will be very happy. It's just wheeling and dealing.
Best value at end of the window mateShouldn't we be signing players and not selling them?
