The moment I realised that we were going to be relegated. The day before we had a good win at Derby and there was some hope that with a couple of additions we may make a go of it in the Premier League.
Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how he copes in the Premier League with Everton. I've a feeling that he's going to be a success.

He needs to find his mojo again, lost all confidence playing out wide last season

However more to the point, why are all you weirdos watching a friendly between bloody Coventry and Everton
Olympic footy and rubbish friendly acca anyone? 1 correct out of 11. 2 quid down the shit pipe. Footballs back baby 😂

"It takes a village to raise a child."

So much went into Iliman's success with us, not least his relationship with the management and coaching staff. He was a very rare talent in rare circumstances. He might never reproduce that form again.

That said, didn't one of our youth coaches go to Everton, and did that play a part in DCL flourishing - when he wasn't injured, or modelling.

If there's someone at Everton who Iliman knows and trusts and who knows how to get the best out of him then that might help, a lot.

It'd be a treat to see Skilliman in full flight again. I hope it works out for him - just not enough to save Everton from relegation at last.

Hi Stegosaurus here

He messed his career up by getting greedy and leaving to play in France.

Flopped there, lost it and will no doubt flop at Everton. He'll pitter between clubs for a while who will give him a chance because he had one good season, but he'll never amount to anything.

Come on pal. I was mad and bitter when he left as well, but Illy may have been in the top 3 most talented players I’ve ever seen at this club. I hope he does well at Everton, because we all know the kind of player he can be.

Wish him nothing but the best. From a lifelong fan!

The ball skills he possesses are something I’ve never seen us have at this club before. He wasn’t the best finisher & at times would miss sitters but he could do something out of nothing & always helped us get up the pitch by beating a few men and winning a foul.

The problem I’m seeing is he was a big fish in a small pond, now he’s rubbing shoulders with other big names in dressing rooms and fans that don’t love him as much as we did. Confidence is a big thing in football.

He didn't exactly set the French top division apart with some quality and very experienced players alongside him, so I'm not convinced he'll set the "world's best league" alight.

It will be interesting seeing him in the prem this season, who knows if he has a poor start we might have a chance of loaning him in January.

Agree.....don't think people realise that some players only look good when a style of play and tactics are set up to showcase their strengths.

I watched quite alot of Marseille games last season and it was funny to see....that N'Diaye was consistently ineffective.
It wasn't that Illy was bad, it was more that he hardly touched the ball. His team mates hardly passed to him
and when he did touch the ball, no one made runs....they just expected a simple pass back.

Basically we made N'Diaye look better than he is, he was our "main man" and given a free role with everyone looking to pass to him.
Wouldn't surprise me if he struggles at Everton and that as bakeblade says they are willing to loan him out or offload him in a season or 2 for £10 million.

He was bobbins in the friendly against cov today
Was he? Interested to see how he gets on in a team that isn't really that attacking, but they've made a couple of good signings to change that

He's probably sat wondering why the fuck he's joined Everton.

Coventry 3-0 Everton
Salford 2-1 Everton
Sligo Rovers 3-3 Everton

That's with Branthwaite. They're fucked.

What we learned to do, which Marseilles and Senegal didn’t, was give him the ball in tight situations. He would then execute some impossible trickery and open up all sorts of opportunities when nothing looked on.

The most skillful player ive seen for us, it was a perfect storm with everything ready for him to perform, no expectation real love and support from fans and coaches. He was a joy to behold and even though hes gone i as glad to have witnessed him in his pomp and splender, i wish him all the best, but fck everton

YHIHF: Shit start with Everton so they seek a lower league loan for him. To a club he knows well in a location he's familiar with, rebuild his confidence and help him settle back in to English football.. He sets their season alight and fires them to promotion. The script is written!

Yep, Boreham Wood will be overjoyed to have him back even if it's only temporary.

Looks like Everton have found a gem :(

"Having made substitute appearances in the defeats by Brighton and Tottenham, Senegal international Ndiaye - a £15m summer signing from Marseille - capped an impressive first start for the club by slotting in Everton’s second in the 74th minute.

He collected the ball 35 yards out, turned to drive at goal, skipped around defender Joseph Olowu and completed a calm finish."

Maybe Wolves and Everton relegate and we can snap MGW and Ndiaye
There were good together

He’ll be fine and be in the mix for their POTY come summer.
