O'Hare might have been economical with the truth though
He's not going to say "Well Gus has been asking me all week if I'd signed yet", and then he said, "mind you we'll not play together because I'm fucking off"

People jumping to conclusions because he's not in the squad tonight. As if we've not had enough if people doing that with Burrows
 
He'll go if someone matches his release clause, not much point panicking about it.
It'll go to the end of the window.
He won't turn down a more lucrative move just because we "signed his mate" either.
 

I can't see Hamer staying myself after the season he had, he's just too good for this league but if we can reinvest in a decent replacement or a very good plan we should be ok. We'll miss him if he goes.
 
I'd be happy to sell a souza for example and whack a massive sign on fee for a new deal for a new contract, increasing the release clause to the equivalent and making it a non promotion clause so we have him one more year and then can make it back

Im hoping there’s lots of interest but if as I’ve seen quoted on here his release clause is £18-20 m they didn’t see enough when he played in the PL to risk that amount. Every cloud?

do you know booker i cant see hamer leaving i think he will give it at least one more season at the lane

Hope you're right fella. If he does then he'll probably be the best centre mid in the division. Him and Arblaster in the middle. Just wow! Will be even better than when we had Paul Rogers and John Gannon in the middle kicking, harassing and the left foot of Gannon! 😉

That was a great season as you'll remember. 9th in first division. I digress!

just a pity those 2 didnt see much of the ball booker was constantly going over there head lol absolutely loved dave bassett as manager but hated the tactics although i had been brought up spoilt on the john harris academy of football anyway back to hamer him and arblaster will be the best midfield 2 in the championship this season i think hes staying utb ftp ⚔️⚔️⚔️
 
Lets be right, he has a release clause, just because a team meets it doesnt mean he has to accept their contract offer. He may think the plan with new owners is a good opportunity and want to stay.
 
I’m still struggling to see, given the state of our squad, how we managed to tempt O’Hare to sign. That, along with the footage of O’Hare mentioning Hamer asking him “is it done yet”, gives me (probably false) hope Hamer has no plans to leave.

i dont think it is false hope i expect hamer to stay with us
