Fwiw we were 4th favourites to win the league a few weeks ago, we're now around 9th.

I'll be sticking an insurance bet on us getting relegated

I expect us to go back up so I do, whether that’s through autos or play offs I don’t care, anything else is a failure. We’ve come down with a wedge of money from the Premier League, there’s no excuse so there isn’t.

Blades are 19/1 for the title on Sky bet

Morecambe to go down has to be worth putting on an acca. They've got a huge turnover of players, no guarantee that goes well.

Bromley are certs though. As are Crawley in L1.

Wendy to win the Champions League.

I see Morecambe brought in 12 (twelve) free transfer players on July 12 - 14 - so maybe not so certs for relegation!

Not the best odds given he's 250 miles away from the pitch

Took some advice off here did an acca on finishing 1st but did each way of 3 places ( I presume this means come in second or 3rd for 1/4 odds, but bet 365 not giving me a cash out at all tight fuckers

Leeds are 1/16 for promotion...that's a fantastic laying opportunity for someone with a bigger bank balance than me (and a bigger ballsack)

They're bound to fall apart at some point, it's what they do

How is it a fantastic opportunity if they're bound to fall apart?

🤔😅

Unless I'm being an idiot here...given that they're 1/16 to be promoted, there'll be plenty of people who'll bite at odds that are even as low as 1/10...way above the market, very little loss risk to the layer.

My uncle was a bookie and I'm a keen gambler but I'll be honest, laying isn't something I'm completely au fait with, but the above makes sense to my tiny noggin...unless, as I say...I'm being an idiot (entirely plausible)

Are you saying place a large wager on them to get promoted at rubbish odds?

Fair enough but you're risking a large stake for not much return.

But then you're also predicting them to fail so what's the point anyway?

No I mean laying the bet, offering up the price for someone else to back.

As in, you take the bet, not make it.

EG - you say, "the bookies are offering 1/16 on Leeds being promoted, I think they'll fall apart again so I'll offer you 1/5 but only if the stake is £500" (for example)

Have a google on laying bets/exchanges, it'll explain it far better than I will!
