So it protects us financially, but not really as an asset.
They could offer the buy out value on the last day of the window, and even if Wilder disagrees with the sale Gus can agree to it and he leave.

Tin hat on. Hope im wrong but what trees did Gus pull up last season ? No calmness on the ball,no long/short meaningful passes,went missing in games for long periods,caught on the ball a few times,no command of the midfield,poor positioning. I was hoping for much better and he really disappointed me,yes he was playing in a shit team with an overrun midfield but in my opinion he never stood out. Coventry fans loved him but that was the massively inferior championship.

Gus started the season poorly and I was positively underwhelmed.

He grew in to the season as I saw it and was just about able to hold his head up higher than almost all the others in what was a terrible debacle of a campaign.

He Got teckers. For sure. Would love to see him again next season at the lower level but money talks !!!

It's been said every window for years mate, and we still do the same, filling the squad with quantity. No reason this windows going to be the same, sprinkled with a few crocks again no doubt.

Gus might still be living around Coventry area too. A move back might suit him.
As you say, if they meet the release clause it's out of our hands.
