So the club should invest tens of millions to make 'some' people happy.

Great plan for insolvency.

Though it's someone else's money we wish to see spent.

Imagine the outrage on the forum if the club spent tens of millions on the ground and ticket prices went up by £10/game to cover the costs.
If prices went up gates would fall off a cliff

Yes they would.
Just imagine some new owner coming into this club and us getting into Europe, it'd be embarrassing, complaints about flight prices, complaints about train prices, complaints about beer prices, complaints because it costs more than £20 to get into Barcelona's stadium

And people wonder why this club never gets a decent takeover

So Spurs turnover was between £500 million and £600 million then, and I'm sorry was Arsenal's only £490 million ? I do apologise
Completely irrelevant anyway, the point is, they don't make that sort of money by selling half a dozen snot pies and four beers at half time and having fans think that that's good enough for them

Nice try. You said each year. And Arsenal a one off £450m. Not checked? So you clearly weren’t aware. As usual.

Snot pies is almost funny though. If you’re 10 or 11.

Maybe you have the answer?

I would imagine most People come through the gates to watch the team, not to admire a stadium,?

Build it and they will come. seems a bit arse upped to me.....

Man U currently have a 74k stadium but are looking at potentially rebuilding Old Trafford at a cost of over £1.5b.

Why are they going to spend all that money if people don’t care about how good or bad the stadium is?

They have a huge tourist base and these days it’s a shithole?

You've heard of Fantasy Football ?
This thread should be called Fantasy Football Stadium.
We currently don't have enough players to start next season and people are dreaming about spending on the ground ?
Bizarre.
This 💯

I'm still amazed by our support, we've had shite on the pitch for decades, and our fans still turn up in numbers. The club really doesn't deserve us for what theve served up, can only imagine if we ever got our act together what it would be.
Plenty would still whine.

Just think what our support would have been like if we'd won a major honour in the last 99/100 years, hadn't played in a decrepit stadium most of the time and had played in Europe.

Case in point was Pinchy during the success under Wilder.
Never be any better/worse than the ageing original shareholders in the old JohnStreet stand. Though at least they actually went to games and moaned when they were there, not from behind a keyboard seven days a week .

The day when the short sighted of our fanbase see fit to INVEST in our tin pot excuse of a 21st century football stadium rather than spend every last penny we can on transfer fees and wages will never come.

Invest in the ground, balls to whether the pigs have a rustier ground, we’re in the 2020s and to have big metal pillars holding up the roof of the Kop is absolutely pathetic.

It’s only one stand, not exactly asking for a triple tiered grandstand with a retractable roof over the pitch.

Not to mention, for everyone who wants every last penny going on transfers and wages, it’s not as if that extra player is going to be the difference between winning a major trophy or playing in Europe is it

Get it out Reece. Get it all out. It’s what close season Sundays are for ………

You can bet your bottom dollar, the ones going “do you want us to go bankrupt?” will be the ones right behind any plans, if the club did ever announce anything.

We should spend the next year building a brand new, state of the art kop, and build it behind the current kop.

When the season ends we've got a whole preseason to remove the existing kop and then simply wheel the new one in the place.

We can then do the same with Cherry Street.

No stand closures, no one losing their seats, no one being moved. This building malarkey is easy.

It's the honour of being Sheffields top club

shite on the pitch for decades?? How many promotions? How many semi finals? Play off finals?? Might not have won anything but i dont think anyone can say last 25/30 years is shite....compare it to the 25/30 years before and tell me how many times we played at the National Stadium, or our academy players went on to play for england, or promotions we had etc etc etc.

Nope, it’s been shite. Other clubs of our size have extended stays in the top flight, actually win play off finals, get to Cup finals, occasionally play in Europe and have even won trophies.

We’re not Rotherham Utd, so let’s fuck off this mentality of being happy to settle for pathetic little crumbs of consolation prizes.

It’s been shite and our club should be aiming to do miles better. Some genuine investors rather than the tin pot jokers and bullshitters we’ve had to date wouldn’t go a miss either

Whats the score with funding for the redevelopment lads?

Loans from the ownership or Bank loans?

I like our ground but that end of the kop with restricted viewing is stupid.

They need to get rid of that box thingy for tv guys. Couldn’t they have just stuck em in the office block.
