Good player to have on the bench and does give options, however I'd be worried if he was a starter
For those that are less sure of Moore. He started 14 times last season for Ipswich and scored 7 goals, so a one in two ratio. He's big, he's strong, he can finish, he's good in the air and he'll link play. Hell also provide an outlet for the defence.

In our budget he's probably the best we could get, even considering the takeover. He's played over 40 games for Wales and he's always impressed me when I've seen him at that level.

We all love football on the ground but realistically at times, especially at the back, you need to go long. How many times v Swansea did their "total football" lead to goals after we pressed and forced them into mistakes because Russell Martin refused to go long. I think he'll be a terrific signing and comes across as an intelligent guy too. He's also won promotion twice out of the championship.

but contrary to a few on here booker i think moore is good on the ground hes not just a target man and give him the service from out wide and he will get at least 15 goals in the championship no brainer for me just hope brooksy comes with him

Quite a few. It's re branded as long distance passing now. Liverpool and man city keepers particularly good at it

And if you don't think a part of haalands success is down to his size then...well.
Sorry but I didn't see one Premiership team other than us last season hoof it, launch it or "long distance passing"
The Premiership is all about pace, Athleticism and movement not hoofing it up field like we did, even the poor sides moved the ball far quicker on the floor then we did.

I don't think i have ever seen Man City hoof it or what ever you want to call it.
Are you saying if Haaland was 5ft 6" and was still scoring the same amount of goals Man City wouldn't have been interested in him ?

But he isn't. He doesn't play the pep way which HAS led to some criticism of him. His size is why he's playing. He adds something different. Of course he's a freak with a brilliant record too but Pep saw they needed a big man even if it means it disrupts their well oiled machine slightly

I don't believe that, I don't think for one minute Pep said we need a big man up front. They signed him because he was the best striker around at the time his height was just a bonus.

In the context of elite players and a club with a bottomless pit of cash
Man city's version of kiefer Moore is erling Haaland
They don't hoof it up to him because they have a squad full of world class players whose coach encourages short passing possession football
They always played small nimble forwards before him and couldn't win that elusive champions league so they went with the player who gives them another option and makes them harder to play against

Kiefer Moore is a good player on the deck so you're argument falls down around the fact you don't know this anyway before we even start on the rest of it

Always rated him. Would prefer to keep McBurnie, but he'd be my first choice as replacement

I like McBurnie a lot and he's shown that, when fit & firing, he's one of the best in the Championship.

The problem is, you can't rely on him... and if he hasn't adjusted his salary demands to that reality then we must move on.
I've no idea what our wage bill has been over recent seasons, but it wouldn't surprise me if we were squandering £1-2m a month on injured player's salaries. That trend has to stop now.

Kieffer Moore gives you a decent return on goals, he links the play, holds it up well and is usually available. He played a big part in Ipswich getting up, so it would be foolish to think we're too good for him.
Right now, our only option is Osula...

Mcburnie who is 3 years younger, scored one goal less than him, in a better league with one of the worst teams in prem history. Mcburnie on a free or paying a fee for Moore, the choice is obvious to me.

100% sign him. He’s proven at this level. We then just need a 20 goal man and we’re sorted up front.

Wilder and Taylor both like him. Bladesman suggesting on X , we have spoken to at least 5 players in last 72hrs. I think this is a good move, if its true we are after the two speed merchants from Posh, explains our interest. Does that mean McBurnie on his way?????

They signed Haaland because he was the best striker around at the time not because of his size.

Just out of interest how many Premiership clubs did you see last season hoofing it or just launching it up front other than us of course ?
Look how many we conceded from crosses. We had no similar threat up the other end...

Talk means nothing.... if there's no readies!

Big donkey, effective at hoof/basic football but no feet. Hate this type of player. Just a lump upfront to launch it to. I’d rather stick with Mcburnie as he can link play better and can play to feet.

Just my opinion, but he’s better than that

McBurnie might be better all round except for when he’s laid out on the treatment table which tends to be a bit too often

I wanted McBurnie to stay but needs must

We need four strikers (if we're playing two up top). Three have to be proven top end Championship quality. Mcburnie and Moore would slot neatly into that. Hopefully then a pacy option to compliment them.

agreed 58 calling him a donkey is plain stupid moore is underared on the deck good link up man and he will get us 12/15 goals in the championship and it does tell me mcburnie is on his way osula and moore will be battling for the target man role mind still think we need to bring a 20 goal plus striker in as well
