If you've one ounce of ambition Utd, get this Cooper in from Plymouth🙏

I've heard someone mention him that we was looking into him but again it's not itk just rumours

Nixon saying we want him but he may have other options who are Palace and Brighton apparently, where he obviously isn't going to be first choice.

A lot of injuries for a goalkeeper.
Slightly off-putting.

But surely the lad doesn't want to be a second choice PL GK at this age?

You would have thought so. Could be he signs for Palace or Brighton and goes straight out on loan? We need a keeper sorting ASAP though, we can't afford to start the season with either Davies or Garbage.

I never understand it when up-and-coming keepers go to be a number 2 somewhere else. I'm surprised Ramsdale isn't desperately pushing to get out of Arsenal for this very reason. Deano didn't enjoy or accept being Man Utd's number 2

I can see he had a long term injury for an ACL injury but that was one long term injury. Has this been recurring do we know or has he had other bad injuries?

Always been rushworth for me. Player of the year for Swansea, great stats and is from up north, albeit Lancashire. Come through the loan ranks like Henderson did and he needs to be playing for a team pushing the championship. Beadle can be back up until dutchy is back.

Cooper is an injury risk, and probably waits on a takeover but we need a keeper now. Grbic on Saturday didn’t have a shot to save but was still horrific

Brighton or Palace would be mental moves.

They're both very hot on Verbruggen and Henderson respectively, who aren't exactly old.

And then Brighton have got Steele, Rushworth (who I'm sure would love this), Beadle.
Palace have got Johnstone too.

"Plymouth Argyle's highly-rated goalkeeper Mike Cooper has suffered a second knee injury in 2023"

He was out for 9 months first time round with knee injury which required surgery and then came back and was out for another 3 months for a knee injury.. both un 2023.

The second injury was to his medial ligament and in the other knee to the one he damaged his ACL

Same was said about Brewster and look how that turned out?

The irony is when ever United push the boat out and show ambition they often tend to end up poor signings. It’s the ones that come in under the radar, the cheapo squad type players that become our best signings.

Saying that we are very weak in the goalie department so this is one area where we should gamble.

I am shocked that signings that have very little downside tend to appear better on average than those that have more variance!

You are right he dropped a few bollocks but got away with it . might not in the championship .

They wouldn't be mental moves, they'd be very sensible.

Here's a lad who has had an injury that ends many a career. He can go to a PL team on a shitload of money, secure himself for life and not risk his knee OR he can come to us for a lot less money and play every week risking his knee ?

Good job not all footballers think like you

Yeah that's right they all take championship salaries when PL salaries are on offer 👍

Ask Jebbo if you don't believe me and he's not had what could have been a career ending injury
