Scott Parker

I'd assume has something to do with the Des Taylor/Bournemouth link.

Even though I don't want Wilder here I don't think Parker would be too up for the Derbies next season. But despite saying that I'm more bothered about getting this season right as it's a very important one for the longer term future of the club, rather than be overly concerned about two matches against that lot across the City. Whether Parker would be a step in the right direction for the longer term of the club - well it wouldn't be a particularly inspiring appointment from my point of view.

Maybe he'd fit right in . . . .

Style of play

Parker warming up for Fulham in 2014
Parker was known as a tough tackling central midfielder.[73]

On the international stage, Parker had been among the notable England players to have been criticised and panned for their hard-working but less technical style of play.

Would be a terrible appointment

There is nothing good about him

His CV is hugely flattering

He had unfair advantages at both Fulham and Bournemouth. The squads and budgets he had there made it difficult not to get promoted, yet he barely stumbled over the line on both occasions. In the PL, he was quickly found out

But he's young and might be nice and compliant..... and maybe thats enough for our new owners? Worrying if so

He'd be a bottom of the barrel appointment. Wilder is considerably better for us

this scream of wayne rooney at Birmingham. id say the 2 times he got promoted with Bournemouth in 2nd & Fulham through the pandemic play offs he actually underachieved. as they shouldve done better

i still havent seen a realistic option that better than keeping wilder

It's odd how Heckingbottom can't get the Plymouth job, despite a promotion under relatively challenging circumstances, while that fraud Parker seems entitled to top end championship bare minimum

Why? Because he was a more famous player....?

Similar CV, similar age, yet seemingly held in completely different regards

I’d read somewhere it is because as soon as Hecky takes a new job … he stops getting his pay off from the Prince. I think that has been a ‘blocker’ for him getting a new job. I expect he’ll get a job in October after his 12 months is up & some team in the Championship sacks their manager after a poor start.

Hecky dresses like a tramp compared to Parker.
