As the season comes to a close I felt its time to give credit where it is due.
Consider how Luton and Burnley both had the goal of staying in the Premier League but failed.
Manchester City had the goal of winning the title, and will probably do so this weekend, but it has gone to the last match of the season.
The Blades had the goal last August of getting relegated.
They achieved that goal, with games to spare, and setting records in the process that will probably never be beaten.
If that isn't success then I don't know what is!

Pretty sure that wasn't our goal, but hey you seemed to want to use your punchline

Welcome to the Forum, I've certainly seen better opening threads

Could have been worse, could have been "worst start in the Championship", a full league below our level, playing inferior football against inferior teams.

My measure of success is, how the fucking hell did a club like luton finish higher than us in the prem ffs!.... probly the skint prince can answer that!!

Well, whatever happens now, it will go down as our worst performance in our history relative to the league we're in.

Think I'm right in saying that our worst points total is 19, which was in the 19th century when we only played 18 games with 2 points for a win. Even if we beat Spurs, it's our worst return in comparison.

We've already equalled our worst goals conceded and I doubt anyone would bet against not conceding at all on Sunday.

May as well own it rather than getting down or annoyed about it.

Thanks for the welcome.
I wanted to try to squeeze a crumb of comfort out one of the worst seasons in living memory.
I've been a blade since attending my first match in 1962, at the age of 12, I have a lot of good memories but this season has been one I will try to forget.
The only positive is that at my age forgetting comes quite easily

Whether we go down like in 2006 or like we have this season it's still the same thing, same with going up.

In black and white we are relegated but it's upto us how we handle it and listen to all the media crap whether we have a big hangover next season from it

19 points from a possible 36 isn't too bad. 52% so the equivalent of 60 points this season which would have us pushing for a European place.
