I can imagine that we aren't an easy team to place odds on this time round. There have been plenty of changes and although the initial signs seem promising, we'll probably not know much more even after Friday's game.

I think we'll be within the top 6 again as a minimum. Yes, the division is stronger than last year, but last year's League One was extraordinarily poor, as were wein the most part . We should be strong at the back again, but with a lot more pace going forward and a few good options that last year we either didn't have or didn't elect to use.

I'd be tempted to wait until September, I've got a feeling we won't get off to a flyer but instead will improve gradually.

11s still available at the League's new sponsors ;)

As Coily says, no reason to believe we won't be as strong defensively as the last 2 seasons and we have more about us going forward than last season when, let's face it, we should have gone up. The odds will fluctuate in the early weeks so it might be worth hanging on but then again, if we do hit the ground running, those odds won't last.

E/W double with Fleetwood for me as per my thread elsewhere.

They have some good odds dont they and a few new bets like halftime score and both teams to score in both halves etc.

My problem with season bets is it takes so long to get your winnings. Id back them on Betfair and then cash it out after we hammer County on Friday

I was thinking of having a decent bet at 1o/1 + with a view to laying some of this off at some point during the season when the odds were less. A chance to make a profit whether we win or otherwise.

The worry is Wolves who should be very strong.

The key word in that post.

We always get the tedious line 'you never see a broke bookie'! whenever we're made favourites as if it is somehow proof we're going to win the league. I take it this season is already a bust then?

You can bet on us at sky bet 11/1 to win the league and lay us to win the league on betfair at 10/1 right now

Perhaps Wolves should, but I'd say there are plenty of players there with an eye for a move away, just as Wolves would like to get rid of some of the crazy wages they have been paying. I look at them and feel they won't be the shoe in that many are predicting. Add in their fans who take fickle to new levels and they could implode very quickly.

I've read on a couple of season previews that Leigh Griffiths is going to tear the division a new one based on his 25 goals for Hibs. Yet Jamie Murphy was doing the business at Motherwell and he really hasn't done much here, although I do think there is plenty to come from him.

* Smiles knowingly*

You see lots of broke bookies these days. They only make money out of those mug machines, most will refuse decent sized bets on actual sports events unless you are a known mug who never wins a bet.

I wouldn't back us at 20/1. We haven't got anywhere near the squad teams like Wolves and Brentford have. Will do well to make the play-offs. The only good thing is, after those two and possibly Peterborough and Bristol City, the division is even weaker than last season. Swindon and Coventry are potless, Walsall have sold all their best players and obviously Bournemouth and Doncaster have left the building. Top 6 is still a realistic target for us.

Will you lay us at 15/1? Ill have that bet with you :)

If i was a bookie, yeah. For a small amount. I'd give 15/1 for £20 to the first 10 customers. But i'm not a bookie, so i won't. I'm still waiting to see the dosh on a bet i had with someone 8 years ago. More chance of finding a clean NHS hospital than ever seeing that money.

We could go on BM, theres a bet me function then youd see the money

Cheers Foxy, how about it then Ken? buddy bet £20 @ 15/1 or can I get all £200 you were willing to wager?

You do realise that's £3K don't you? :)

What do all these things mean? What happened to "I'll bet thi a tenner he wain't"?

Now we've got Ted Danson trying to lay KenMcnaughtsNuts. Betting has lost me.

You can now be the bookie thanks to the marvels of the internet. So if Ken lays my bet at 15/1 for £20 and I win then he pays me 15 X £20 = £300. If I lose then I pay him £20
