They’re so many melt downs on X/Twitter apparently were selling everyone, completely financially bankrupt, worst owner in the history of football blah blah blah
Whilst I’ve been the first to slag the board for the absolute shambles of last summer & the state of the team they left us with, do I trust them to get it right this time, probably not.
But I am sure that if comes to a toss up of us having to sell players to stay afloat then so be it, I don’t say this lightly either knowing this could mean lower end finish in the championship, but i honestly don’t think it will come to this yet.
We’re not privy to any of the details so why put it online for all to see, I just think it’s weird, hold your council until we know for sure.
What’s your honest opinion’s, am I being naive, being to optimistic?

My honest opinion is that if you spend any time at all looking at Twitter your brain will begin to rot.
Normally I only look at it for taking the piss and slapping on here but today just seems to be overwhelming with people losing their shit and talking even more bollocks than normal ( if they were ever normal)

Didn’t Wilder say in his last interview that he was already talking to players and that he has a good budget to work with?
That’s what I picked up on, obviously I’m gutted about this year but and we’ve been a shambles but have to move forward, yes if they fuck up again rightly so they should be vilified for it

I'm not saying everything you read on X isn't true but I read that Danny Rohl is talking to Marco Reus about a move to Hillsborough.

I left facebook and twitter a year or two back and never regretted it. Like Facebook it seems to push the more dramatic user posts to the top of your timeline. I ended up having to delete people to stop them appearing on my timeline as muting them or favouriting others just didn’t help.

These apps seem to thrive on controversy that I could do without.

This forum is better for your sanity, ignoring the drama queens certainly works

Please don't even think about a bounce back with the team we have at present, a clear out and a complete change of the present defensive and midfield playing staff must surely be on the cards.
As a confessed Mr Wilder fan, at least I believe (fingers crossed ) we have the man to do it,

I just hope we have the cash.......;)

I don’t know what I’d believe less, Twitter or Chris Wilder.
I’m optimistic about this summer for us.
I can’t believe we don’t have any money and are flirting with administration (as some have eluded to) If that was the case we wouldn’t be buying land, doing up the hotel and buying the old HSBC complex, it just doesn’t add up. We wouldn’t have bought Grbic let alone anything else!
We’ve cleared the books, have parachute payments to come and will sell some players. Time will tell but I’m hopeful we’ll look decent before the next campaign starts.

Probably not!....🤞🤞.

Worse for me, I’ve seen two Wednesday shirts in two days. Hadn’t seen any for years and then this. What’s going on?
I have noticed that to . You go months and not see any then next time you go out you can't move for them after they have won a match of course .

After being promoted from the relegation division the EPL have given them a place in the PL for finishing 4th in the Championship attendance league. Rohl and Bannan have already been awarded Manager and Player of the year 24/25.

The finishing 20th Celebration Dinner date will be announced soon.

Couldn't agree more. I've never had twitter, when it was launched I honestly couldn't understand why anyone would even be interested and since then I'm so very glad I never bothered with it. Facebooks been inactive for a number of years. I might re activate once every couple years or so if I want to look for something on marketplace and you notice the timeline - what a fucking mess it is. So very glad it's not a part of my life. The amount of times someone will say "did you see that news on Facebook where" and I'll immediately say "no, don't have it"

The drama queens on here? Well there's a lot of them. Somewhat understandable after the season we've had but I'm already way over it and just waiting for next season now. Thankfully we have a large large....large amount of 'in the know'ers that are reporting the club is dead, Wednesday are the new Man City and if I was you I'd get a season ticket this year because the likelihood of them existing after next season are close to zero. I've no reason to not believe them, but the nut cases on twitter? Naaah.

Seen a few of the scabby bastards in town this morning.

Outside Lloyds there was a table of Scottish lads (probs down for the snooker) chatting to some locals - “so are yous all Sheffield United fans then?”

“nah weer wensdeh”

Don’t think scraping championship survival has had the global impact they expected it to have.

I admire your optimism. I don’t share it though.

I’m expecting freebies, loans and maybe some small transfer fees at a push. In fairness it’s what we’re better at as a club, we can’t have nice things so better not to try.

I’ve done away with the lot. Nice to share a few pictures of the kids with relatives or for flogging an old book case but very little of value beyond that….just rots your brain.

Taking my first tentative steps back onto here since August mainly because things can’t get any worse (I mean they can but it doesn’t feel like it at the moment)

I think we needed to spend fuck all this year and unfortunately get tonked every week to re-stabilise the club. I’m hoping that the bulk of the debts are paid off and the financial pressure is off.

Anel and Souza will be sold. A clear out of the older out of contract players will happen and is overdue.

I think then we’ll be left with a fairly competitive championship budget. It’ll be nice if they do it right getting a few younger, pacey players on their way up for a change rather than buying injury prone older players who are past their peak.

I will judge out ambition and summer largely on these factors
1) does Hamer stay
2) does Arblaster stay
3) do we sign 2 big fuck off centre backs
4) do we sign a box to box tackling midfielder
5) if neither McB or BBD r here do we sign like for like replacements

If the answer to 4 of those is yes I will be optimistic, 3 or less pessimistic

The icing on the cake will be if Anel and Souza have been sold bringing in 20m +
