Warnock went down in my estimation when he signed that bloke Diouf for Leeds having previously called him "lower than a sewer rat" (which he is).

I guess it's was all about which league KM wanted to see united play in. Had it been the championship then United would of got Warnock in for the last few games of last season (we would of gone up) but decided that league 1 would be best for us next season, and so gave the manager position to Morgan.

Unfortunately, I agree Warnock time has passed. The time was last season but like always, KM makes the wrong decision. It's the Blades way.

Karl Robinson, Steve Davies, Owen Coyle, Paul Tisdale plenty of promising managers out there without going backwards to Sir Neil.

Then again I wanted SoD, Eddie Howe and Tisdale for the previous few appointments.

Its such a Blades thing to do. Look back rather than forward. One of the reasons I wouldn't want Morgan in charge is he is already burdened with being one of us. Rather have someone in who isn't a "blade" or invested in us and just wants to prove himself as a manager.

Its a chance to start fresh rather than dig up the past.

Because it's about time (actually long past time) that we entered the 21st century, looked beyond our ridiculous parochialism, realised that Warnock, Bassett et al are yesterday's men, that the likes of Wilder and Morgan have done nothing whatsoever that matters to equip themselves to manage this club, that being 'a Blade' is not a pre-requisite when recruiting managers, coaches and players - and for Heaven's sake moved on!

That I have to explain why it's embarrassing, speaks for itself I'm afraid.

Yes. It's been pointed out politely to the individual concerned (and he's far from the only one). We can only assume that he's now doing it deliberately, which is discourteous to his audience.

I don't think we are at the 'piss the league' point of thinking.

We are at the 'new start, new direction' way of thinking and McCabe's team of cronies need to deliver us this.
Do so and give us hope and the crowds will hold up, good start and they will build.

Give us another Robson or Wilson when everyone knows they have got it wrong and McCabe will be subsidising our income off crowds of 11000.

I agree with the sentiment certainly, I was referring to Kingston's claim in the opening post. I'm all for building the club and getting it going in the right direction rather than another panicky, short term attempt to buy our way out of the division.

I remember we were linked with Wells pre season, what we wouldn't give to have him now.

That said, Northampton are the very definition of an up and at 'em, get the ball in to the box at every opportunity team. And they're getting given the sort of Wembley schooling to which we have become so accustomed.

Typically, a side shows how it should be done, relatively speaking, and there's a reason why they are the exception to the rule.

Not being snooty. Just reminding those that get moist in the pants about Swansea that they're in the same division as Stoke.
