Who on earth is Graham Arnold?
I only remember that because my mate is a Northampton fan ! I can remember his Bristol City team destroying us at their place a few years ago, possibly under Robson and yep, when he gets teams playing they do look good but I didn't see a particularly fluent team in the two games last weekend and I don't think he'd be a stand-out choice.
If we are thinking pragmatically, surely Kenny Jackett would be a better option than a lot of names mentioned? Not too sure about the style of football though!
I think he's had about 4 promotions - all with limited resource. True, you will be able to find some downside, but if you've been around a bit, and had little resource, that's inevitable.
When Southgate's a candidate (all downside with lots of resource), I'd have to say GJ should be streets ahead in the reckoning.

Surprised Terry Butcher hasn't been mentioned, almost took the Barnsley job earlier on in the season.
Done a great job at Inverness this season but he isn't good enough for United imo.

McCall stands out head and shoulders with regards to possibility of getting him, him being decent and having something of a track record.
So we won't get him then![]()

Would you leave (if they go up) Championship Yeovil for League One fuck up club Sheffield United? I wouldn't.
To be fair, I did originally say "If his contract is up at the end of the season".

Owen Coyle, Pemberton, Southgate, in that order.
Who on earth is Graham Arnold?
Sacked by Wolves just now...
poor lad spoke the truth.. they didn't like it did they??NNNnnnnoooooooooo
Might be interesting to see how other managerial positions being available impacts on our search. I can't see how the job can be anything other than unattractive in the extreme.
"Here you go then, you've got expectant and pissed-off fans, no squad to work with, the few good players you've got I'm going to sell, if you find some new good players and they become our top scorers etc., I'll sell them in January, you'll have no money to spend though, and oh yes I forgot if you somehow still get us into the play-off places I'll sack you with five games to go because we weren't champions by February. Enjoy!"
And hes a total a...hole too..so another box ticked. Saunders that is.I don't want him, but I think we will get him. As I mentioned a while back, he ticks all the McCabe boxes (he'll be cheap, he's an "ex-Blade", he's a relatively well known name etc etc).

Why is he a total arsehole ?And hes a total a...hole too..so another box ticked. Saunders that is.
Having said that, a man who can take Yeovil (average crowds 4000) to the bring of the second tier must have some managerial ability....
