Another blow to those on here who think the step up in levels is easy.

Shocked when we get rid but had never seen much of him sums up the people who have a strong opinion on most our young players!

As Alex Turner said in the I bet you look good on the dance floor video... Don't believe the hype.

"Genuinely shocked" 🤣 He's older than Traore who's also on his bike after signing for 4m.

Ok, as someone who actually has seen plenty of him I never felt he would make the step up to first team as I pointed out on here during the summer on a few occasions. He was a stop gap in pre-season simply because we were so light in numbers. Tidy player but neither technically good enough nor physically big/quick enough to make an impression at PL or Champ level. Will go on to have a career but I'd be surprised if it was ever above L1 level.

He's what, 20 now (?) and yet to really play above L2 - not counting the very limited minutes he's got this season. I don't get the surprise from people that might have seen him play once or twice during a couple of friendly matches.

"Genuinely shocked" - has never seen him play. Sums up a lot of modern football fans I guess.

Come on, you've got to attribute that to Public Enemy rather than Alex bleedin' Turner...

Will be 23 by the end of the season. Obvious he wasn't going to be here next season

No problem with this good luck to him hope he has a long and successful career. He’s a solid player but if the club aspires to spend the next 3/4 years as a top end championship maybe premier league club if we’re lucky he’s u likely to be of that standard in that timeframe.
