Hard to take a late equaliser of course ,but how entertaining was that. Two teams giving everything slugging it out attacking and fighting for every ball. I know Mr moonpig.com had a mare but it added to the spectacle in the end ,something which has been sadly missing this season. Love nights at the Lane like that.

Mr moonpig.com ----- love it

He was bad

I called my brother who lives out of Sheffield and said if the game had been on sky as planned with the same outcome, a neutral would have had a right feast in store. The game was ruined for me by the joke of a ref and the last minute equaliser. Oh and by us hitting the woodwork for the sixth time in three games.

Apologies if he's mentioned it elsewhere, but I'd like to know what SellyOakBlade 's Villa-supporting mate thought...

I haven't been for the last few games due to a combination of cricket starting and us being quite frankly unwatchable. THAT was the most I have been entertained at the Lane in a very, very long time. As bad as the ref was (I can't even think of a word powerful enough to describe it), it actually made the game a great spectacle. Special mention also for the crowd, magnificent!

Yes Sitwell, we all love nights that cement our place in the pub league for what could be a very long time - at best. It really does sicken me this situation where all you Clappers crave is a bit of 'up and at em' style from a team with virtually zero ability to pass and retain possession in a meaningful way. Your views are a prime example of why SUFC is dying. All you care about is some lunatic manager arguing all game with officials and opposing bench. It is pathetic, SUFC are pathetic and your views mean nowt will change because McSue will think he has found a great manager that the fans love. I can tell you now there is zero future in Chris Morgan as manager.

I cannot deny it was entertaining, I am delighted boring Pig has gone - but if that is a dream night at BDTBL we aint living on the same planet my friend.

I go to the Lane because I enjoy it ,I enjoyed myself, I like to be entertained ,i was entertained . I havnt seen Morgan arguing with officials and the opposition bench at all, quite the opposite ,dont tell me what I care about or put forward your made up interpretation of my views. Call me a clapper if it gives you a hard on but dont ever call me friend ,i like my friends.

  • He thought it was high on entertainment, low on skill, and cracking value for money (as Linz got us the tickes for free!)
  • Thought the ref had a 'mare, and cannot beleive he has reffed in the PL
  • Said there were 2 bad challenges last night, the first sending off (which neither of us saw but we are making an assumption that an elbow was involved), and the challenge that got Donaldson his second booking.
  • Didn't think Maguire's second booking was a booking, or indeed a penalty
  • Though Long was at fault for their second
All in all, he quite enjoyed it. And on a personal note was nice to meet Foxy, Linz, silverfox
, Mousey and some other who I cant remember now as my brain is addled after last night.

And how did you enjoy Saturday's game. Welcome back :(

la la , troll troll, bla bla. Yes Mic we are all well aware we do not want to be in this division, however last night despite the ref trying to nick the spotlight was the most entertaining game I have seen in a very long time. I was more impressed with the heart, desire, and passion shown by the players last night (despite the poor concentration for the last 10 mins). We do not have a good team, we are in a shit league, and yes Mic we could all write a book on the problems that SUFC is currently riddled with, However just give it a rest for a second and savour what was an extremely entertaining match and also possibly look on the last two results with hindsight in the fact that before Wilson had gone any of us would have snatched any chance of 4 points from Swindon and Brentford.

I took a flatmate to the game last night, Italian lad brought up in England/Italy. Udinese fan and Chelsea fan from the places he has grown up. After last night I can safely say he is now a blade as well after seeing him Belt out the greasy chip butty song, standing up whilst screaming if you hate Wednesday and singing along to his hearts content with all the rest of the Blades on the Kop last night. Afterwards he said that is the best game he has ever been too in his life and felt absolutely fecking knackered and drained with what had happened and cannot wait to go back. Yes we all want to be higher up and yes we all want to see top quality football being played at Bramall Lane. however, after the shite we've been through and are still going through. It's nice to see over 22 thousand Blades fans screaming and shouting a team on who are working their bollocks off. Something of which has been missing for some time now.

It was exciting but I can't say I enjoyed it massively because 1. it highlighted again that we can't defend against pace and will get nowhere until that is addressed; and 2. once again we blew a massive opportunity ....89 mins gone, 2-1 up with an extra man......but we din't have the quality or intelligence to see it through.

The last 2 games have been a big improvement on what went before and the support has been great - but we lack pace and quality.

Spot on - we lack pace and athleticism - but that's where we're at. Once that's sunk in, all we can do is get the best out of what we've got. I think Morgan has done this in his first 2 games, and it's at least enjoyable for the first time in an age.

Pretty much my take on the game. I'm really, really disappointed we couldn't see the game out.

Morgan now needs to use the next few games to get us completely sorted out for the play offs. Amongst his decisions are:

- can Forte really contribute attempts / goals. I don't think playing him wide right is the position
- can he trust all the youngsters in big games. He clearly didn't think so last night. I know I now have the benefit of hindsight but I think McFadzean would have contributed more than Forte
- what are we going to do if we have a precious one goal lead in any of the playoff games ? My suggestion is always to go for another. If we have a shot, is a goal kick a bad outcome if it doesn't go for a corner or even better we score ? I'll never get used to us fannying around, losing it and getting on the back foot

It really was an entertaining evening only ruined by a last gasp equaliser. Very disappointing that the mentality changed at 2-1 (we shouldve gone for a 3rd). Overall it was a good game played out by two sides that truly wanted to win a game of football.

Your views continue to baffle me. You moan when we play drivel and negative football and yet you moan when we play attacking football. I couldn't get on Saturday but by the sounds of it we have created more chances in two games than we have done in the previous 20.

I doubt you would've posted the above if the last gasp goal didn't go in. It was a massive dent on our automatic hopes and coming away from the ground we all felt like we'd lost but you can't hide from the fact that the 86 mins before that goal weren't entertaining. If that hadn't gone in then we would've gone a point behind Brentford with a game in hand and 3pts behind Bournemouth with a game in hand. It would've then been a straight shoot out between us and Bournemouth as to who could win the final games by more goals.

It wasn't a dream game. Winning 5 or 6 nil is a dream game but you can see the team are turning the corner. If only we'd got a few more games to play or if DW had been relieved of his duties earlier.

It really does sicken me

If there's anything I could say or do to make you feel worse, I'd be happy to oblige.

I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse or just on the usual wind-up, but I haven't seen anybody say they're just happy with a bit of excitement, or even Morgs for manager (personally, I doubt he'd get it even if we go up), but after all the rubbish we've watched, we had some thrills and fight. I see that as a good thing.

Perhaps you could show where sitwell wrote that it was a dream night. I can't see those words anywhere in his post, so let's just make it up shall we.

If what this imaginary group of people that you call "Clappers" crave (or what you have decided they crave) makes you sick I think you have a serious perspective problem. What on earth are you going to do when something really bad happens?

Why do you doubt Morgs would get the job if we go up Trig? He'd deserve it wouldn't he?

Fuck me - I'm a clapper!!

I think he's showing that he can lift the team and that might be enough to get us up. He would however be entirely unproven at FL level and I think McCabe will want somebody who has a track record, that's all.

McCabe has hinted that he wants a young manager with new ideas to bring younger players through. He is unproven but arent all managers at the beginning. Not saying Morgan is the answer but I really hope we dont pick one off the roundabout of crap managers who always seem to fall into another job.

Personally I think that McCabe will want the cheapest possible option and Morgan fits the bill.
If he does get us up he will deserve a crack at the job full time, although he should also be allowed to bring in a more experienced Assistant to supplement Unsworth.
