Early on monday morning Mrs VB delivered our first son, the wonderful Alexander Collins. We're finally home so I've got the important tasks of registering him as a Junior Blade. Anyone know where I do this as it seems it's ages two and up on the site.

He's already received welcome tweets from Deano and Agana :)

Congratulations. By the time he gets to his first game we'll be top of the Premiership (or maybe mid-table Championship).

Congrats, he's off to a fine start being born there, one city that has everything, beach, city, mountains, skiing, parks, hooters, but unfortunately no BDTBL, well nearly everything !

Congrats VB! Which footballer gave him his name?

I registered my kid within a few weeks from birth, thanks to Blades-friends sending me the form. He got a birthday card from the club wishing him "happy 1st birthday", so the 2 year and up can't be written in stone :)

Thanks everyone. It's been a long but incredible week. I've already explained that every kid in his school will support Man U, Liverpool or Chelsea but that's too easy and we call those people 'plastic' fans. Supporting a team like the Blades is how football should be done. If he wants a successful(ish) team then take the Vancouver Canucks as the NHL team. A friend bough him a tiny Chicago Cubs outfit so he's screwed for baseball teams too.

His grandparents are over the moon as for my folks it's a first grand son and for my wife's mum it's her first grandkid.

My wife's staff have already got all the Blades baby gear for Alexander - they know how to keep mum happy :)

Thanks again

On finding his first ever Blades shirt in with all the baby stuff, my (then) 13 year old turned to me and said "thanks for making me a Blade Dad" . Round about then I got something in my eye...

You have much to look forward to my friend.

Yes junior's fist :D

Congrats Vancouver.

I posted this six months ago - time certainly has flown.

I thought a few people on here would like to see he's being brought up properly - he might be thousands of miles from the Lane but he knows all about it :)

We'll be visiting the UK next month so I plan to take him to the Lane and see if I can sweet talk someone to letting me inside the ground for a photo or two.

Give us a shout when you are across :), I'm sure I can pull in a favour :)
