Everton FFP

Perhaps because Everton’s relate to information in the public domain and City’s are much more complex.
I doubt City's are that more complex but I do think that City can afford the best lawyers money can buy. As they are owned by a country.

Two titles and relegation. Not for FFP though, totally different scenario.
Just talking about punishments.....but get your point. Fact is I dont think there is an "independent" panel that can be convened that will through the book at City. Just look at what they are doing for the EPL brand.....

Not too far off!! Like I said, important fixtures coming up in November. It wouldn't do us any harm though.
No it wouldn't but these things have traditionally never gone in our favour, not with Everton either as you'll remember although that was Wimbledon and Segers.

I seem to remember from the Tevez situation that there is (or was) a rule where clubs can’t take legal action against the Premier League.

But I could also be wrong

Incredible, if true, that Everton are £1 Billion in debt (or thereabouts)

"...In addition to the IMR debts, Everton owe a further £490m in shareholder loans to current owner Farhad Moshiri, £140m to another lender, MSP Sports Capital, and a £20m loan to 777 Partners, the Miami-based firm who have agreed a deal in principle to take over Everton, pending regulatory approval..."

If they get -12 points does that count towards Derby’s record?

I don’t think they’ll get a deduction tbh though.

I think even if they did, they would still finish about us AND not get Derby's point record :(

The cynic in me says that they won't get a points deduction. They're a big club with an illustrious history, and are about to move to a shiny new stadium. There would be no Mersyside Derby to hype if they were gone. The PL would much rather see the back of teams like Luton, Bournemouth and probably us.

if it is a fine that would signal to other clubs that they can spend what they want and just pay up if found guilty setting a legal precedent, which the rich clubs will lap up and the prem will not have a leg to stand on if they want to apply points deductions in the future.

it’s cheating and puts clubs at an unfair advantage, points deductions in season should be the only punishment for it to be fair.

Premier league reccomends 12. They will settle for less.

I still don't think 12 would save us though

If you are falling for this....Send me 500 quid I'll send you some magic beans in return

Exactly.. Never happen, and if it did!

This will only mean the traditional bottom 3 will get the worst decisions in history at the turn of the season..

Whilst Everton will get penalties and opposition players sent off...

Whatever actually happens, they'll be contingency plans in place..

Everton won't be relagated ...

A points deduction is the right punishment but whether that happens or not we'll see. What is the justice in fining a club that has been overspending and mismanaging its funds for years and has committed to a new stadium no doubt with massive loans etc to get itself in more debt. As with all clubs the fans may pay the ultimate price in either relegation or with increased prices at their new stadium. Another death knell to ordinary fans even if they are scousers.

Rumours going around on Twitter (apparently Leeds press too) they're getting -12 by the end of the week

PL have never given a points deduction for anything to do with money so can't see this.
It does seem very odd but would be a "let's make an example" sort of thing

Would be a weird time to make an example of a club though.

Especially when PL clubs combined spent 2BN in the past year....
