We should be in the bottom four.
I have watched the Blades in every division, 1 to 4, championship and premiership; I'm no happy clapper and no negative knocker. What I have seen today was crap.
There has not been a decent home performance all season. That explains why the crowd are so quiet and the general atmosphere so low. Whether a season ticket holder, or a punter paying £24, £18 or quid for a kid there was no entertainment value at all.
The worst part of a great afternoon out was sat watching 90 mins of garbage.
I'll be at Walsall. See you there.

Well i have to say that was beyond awful.

As a team we are directionless, Danny Wilson is too wishy-washy, he doesn't have a defined system of play, he relies too much on the individual ability of the players, which was great when we had the likles of Evans, Lowton and McDonald playing well.

However this year, we only one individual who can truly carry the game, McDonald, who is so far off his game its untrue.

Today, the players looked totally directionless, they didn't know when to go direct or to try and play a more patient passing game. To me the only players who show any glimmer were Ironside and Murphy, but it was obvious that they are not the finished article yet.

Robson and Forte were loan signing of the worst possible sort, for me Wilson has to go (Just heard his interview as we type this and he says we need luck!! Luck against ten man carlisle!!) , and we can get some in who has a direction and drive. We've been found out at home and it will cost us automatic

any chance we can apply to play all our remaining games away?

weve been crap all season, but were still in with a chance of promotion. god only knows how. is the loan thingy closed now?

You`d think with the players we have in the squad would be enough to perform at home.
Its obvious the calibre of these players is diminishing every home game, they get worse and worse at home.
Doyle needs outing from the club for good, banish him from his duties,he`s one of,if not the worst central midfielder weve ever had.-creates nothing, runs around in circles, his shooting ability is that of flipper, and his leadership none-existant.
A weak link if ever there were one.
POTATOE.

doyles utter wank. trouble is weve got nobody else to put in. we should have replaced him in the window, but for some inexplicable reason we decided we needed a striker instead. and we didnt even buy one of them!

teams come to the lane expecting us to be good because of our away form and park the bus.. if they had a go at us they'd win easily.. and i can't even blame flynn this time

The entire team were hopeless - as they have been most home games. Slow, negative and no quality - absolute shite. Home to a poor side who are 17th and we constantly went backwards. Even when they had 10 men we didn't look like scoring. It seems Wilson sets out to nick every game 1-0, regardless of the opposition.

I've been to every home game this season and 2 or 3 games apart, we've looked more like a relegation team than one going for promotion.

After 50 years of going to the Lane since age of 8 I've had enough. Supported us in all divisions and defended the Blades since thin and thinner. I'm not overly bothered whether we're successful or not, always enjoyed the experience. Always thought Keith Hill at Barnsley was the master of talking bollox but after listening to lame brain Wilson on Radio Sheffield just a while ago I have to give the dubious award of meaningless waffle to him. We've a better than average chance of going up but I'm rapidly going off Wilson.

3rd 0-0 on the trot , was very disappointing, started slowly then slowed down
Where was the fire , the passion , baffling
What happens when they play at home , its just so frustrating , yet we move up to 4th and can enjoy brentford swindon and tranmere losing
strange football at times , wendies get 4 points over easter and drop into joint 3rd from bottom with 4 others#and are deep in doodah
we win 1-0 draw 0-0 and feel deflated , for totally different reasons

Robson isn't a right winger anymore. He has no pace whatsoever. Every time McMahon tried to play him in he just didnt bother. (He's not a supporting striker either). That said, surely Danny Wilson knows he can't do 90mins nor can Kitson. Poleon wasn't really in the game although could've made an impact in 2nd half when they tired, especially when down to 10men.

A few points to make are:-

If DW insists on playing Robson, grow some balls and drop McDonald. McDonald has been the neshist CM player I've seen in a long time this season.

Start Ironside over Kitson. He is a similar type player and of late Kitson is complacent and drifting too deep.

Why take Kitson off then start lumping it forward?

Next game for me should be:-

Long
McMahon. Maguire. Collins. Hill/Hig

Poleon/Forte. Robson/McD. Doyle. Flynn/McFad

Murphy. Ironside

Their Centre Half had Kitson in his back pocket all game and Ironside managed to get him sent off in about 3 minutes! That's worrying.

we dont cocede , thats the good bit
but
we dont score at home , which is killing us
and cresswell scored again for york today

9 clean sheets in ten is no good mate.. it is three points for a win now.. it isn't a clean sheet competition.. my question is.. how come we never win second ball?? ever?? as for robson.. left footer on right wing.. murphy/poleon right footer on left.. never works.. wilson does it every game. for this ALONE he should be sacked

The defence continued to not look in trouble today.

McMahon, though, in a prize, top draw, grade A bellend who should be fined a week's wages. I hope Wilson tore strips off him at half time.

macmahon can't attack space with the ball. he always stops.. reverses and takes a dead ball kick

It wont just cost us automatic, it will cost us promotion since we dont turn up for playoffs.
Goodbye Danny & coaching staff. As you're leaving, give a lift to Doyle & Forte please !!
UTB & FTP

wed be better off playing herman porter and recalling old man cressers than forte and poleon. no really. yet again our loan signings are beyond shitting useless.

Not a good performance by any one today. Seemed to be playing with one striker for most of the game with Kitson dropping off deep and then not pushing on to help the hopeless punt up field to little Forte. Long ball doesn't work when we have two little rapid guys on the pitch (one who needs to swing his left foot better!).

Uninspiring, lacking creativity and without a clue - not what we need with the majority of games at home in the final fixtures. The longer the goalless streak goes on, the harder its going to get with the pressure. One point closer to promotion but two less than where we should be! UTB

Do you really think teams come to the Lane expecting us to be good? What is it, 8 home wins? That would suggest otherwise. I think the days of teams coming to the Lane in fear are long gone mate. The reason the away form's good is because the home team's expected to attack and our defence isn't bad. We don't dominate teams, we scrape wins and opponents who've done their homework before they come to the Lane know exactly what they'll be up against, fuck all.

We seem to have developed a knack of always looking backwards for the easy pass rather than opting to take responsibility to create something. Whether this comes down to a lack of quality to aim for (though every team seems to manage it against us!) or managerial instruction I don't know but to me it definitely seems that a shift in mindset is required. Maybe it's the same weak minded attitude that stops them playing in front of such a horrible, hostile home crowd* such as ours...:p

*the same home crowd that appeared to back them from start to finish yesterday that is!

that is because the fullbacks don't get forward and the front line don't make runs

The combination of these two traits is infuriating, isn't it ?

Can't see it being fixed in the remaining games either. I would give Callum McFadzean a full game and persevere with Murphy and Poleon but expect to see a set of 7 very tight games (with 2 to 3 more to follow)

yes mcfadzean. is he still alive? (disclaimer: i know he warms the bench, i use this phrase merely for comic effect) if he is then surely give the lad a chance. mcfadzean on the left, flynn on the right, robson in the middle, murphy just behind kitson, doyle on the next scheduled ryanair.
