Following the game being postponed due to lack of interest, there is obviously a void on here tonight whereas normally we'd be divided with opinions, tonight we have nothing to comment on. So here's the match report anyway.

A cold evening in Crewe saw Danny Wilson take his side full of over paid tossers to pit their wits against the magnificent, majestic Crewe.

Fresh from the 0-0 drubbing at home this weekend, Wilson lined up with an attacking side. Still unbeaten since the last defeat, nerves set in early and chances were rare in the empty ground. The pitch looking solid due to being frozen and having failed a pitch inspection was proving a leveller for the two sides. Crewe probably set themselves up better than United, it appeared we hadn't even bothered setting off from Sheffield, whereas Crewe set out to play us off the park. It seemed the game was over before it begun.

Halftime came and went, the crowd, quiet.

Second half picked up, a light breeze blew in from a westerly direction, but United were still nowhere to be seen against the formidable Crewe who looked every bit the world beaters in their red and blue stripes. The TV replays showed a Barca style to Crewe, Townsend kept calling them Barca. United were backs to the wall in this caldron.

In the end united were lucky to escape with a 0-0 postponement. When will Wilson learn!

Long looked uninterested tonight, distribution was terrible. This lad needs dropping, but another clean sheet will bring him confidence. Pity it'll be in the reserves. Who cares that he's young?

KMac was amazing as ever, but there was nobody to pass to! Poor KMac!

Flynn, well what a shocker he had, never once beat his man. Fell over lots. Was also seen stirring the pot in North Korea. Is there no end to the evil lengths that this lad will go to?

Forte, didnt play. For the life of me I don't know why we signed him if he's not going to play. I mean forget the fact that the game got called off, this lad needs sending back. If he's not prepared to play when the game is off then lets get rid.

Jock Bryson had a cracking game though. He'll do we'll here.

Roll on Saturday for another dismal performance against a team of world beaters, whoever they may be!

McCabe has switched off our life support machine after this game.

no one got injured , theres always a positive
and Long wasnt beaten again, terraces were a bit quiet which didnt help the atmosphere
pies were cold

I'd like to praise the ref for once.

I didn't notice him at all, which is traditionally the sign of a good performance.

I thought there was a stone wall penalty that he missed. Or perhaps it was a just a stone wall

I was very surprised by the 'frosty' reception, what have we ever done wrong?

Gutted to have missed this one due to working nights. What was the score at half time?

Jock Bryson had a cracking game though. He'll do we'll here.

And when did we sign The Zone Man?
