There is this weird assumption in football that everything behind the scenes is working correctly even a club that's won promotion. It is possible for the club to have employed some crap backroom staff.

We got promoted last season despite endless injuries and it was a miracle but the fact these injuries continue to happen shows something isn't right.

I've just remembered where I'd read about Hudson before? A few years ago he posted a video about him getting sacked and having to break the news to his family. It was a sad watch.
We were shit today, our defending is a mess.
But, please, keep it respectful.

How's he manage to get apparently elite athletes blowing out of their arses after 50 minutes?

Which I get, the video shines a light on the effect getting the sack has.

But if I got the sack for being shit at my job, would anyone care? Or would it be filed under “shit happens”

In the place I work at they allowed a certain member of staff to continue to not do their job properly to the point it ended up costing the company thousands of pounds. In the end they got made redundant because of it but in the process it also meant another member of staff got made redundant due to the money lost.

This was purely down to someone not having the bollocks to sack them for not doing their job properly.

Everyone has a story mate.

I struggle every day since Ms Crab died. But as god is my witness I’d never use that as an excuse to keep my job. If I was shit, I’d get fired

The pressure and limelight/scrutiny is unlike any other job though.
I've never been fired, I hope I never am, but almost every manager in football has been at some point and sometimes it's through no fault of their own.
Add to that the press, the fans, the abuse, social media, and its a whole different 'ball game' to working in most other roles.

I get that, I get the impact that has.

But at least in football, more often that not you get a payoff.

In my job you get 10 mins to empty your locker and escorted from the building

My last point on this (because you're absolutely right in what you're saying as well, but)
You're not going to get the sack if your companie's Bosnian superstar forgets how to perform for a few weeks, or your long standing, experienced Irish talisman just completely forgets how to do his job properly.

I feel the same here with Hecky, of course he has to shoulder some blame, but he's been let down by the players today, and some of them are ones he should be able to rely on.

I deffo agree, he’s been let down by some. On the pitch and in the boardroom
 
Hudson was defensive coach at Cardiff what do you fucking expect ?
 
What happened with our old defensive coach? We used to be defensively pretty sound.

Back 3 still works, Egan looks void of confidence, bench him for a bit to get him out the spotlight. I'd go Trusty Anel Robbo.

Not sure on a back 2, unless it was with Robbo at left back? Then maybe Bash sitting CDM next to Souza.

But, today was dreadful, no player can hold their head high. Looked like we just called quits the minute the second goal went in, heads dropped...
