Let’s not play that one shall weLet’s not forget that the club has, to some extent, had its heart broken this week with the sad news about Maddy Cusack. From the sounds of it she wasn’t just a player or a staff member; she was so much more and part of the Blades family.
I know that if a member of my team had passed away suddenly last week our productivity would have hit the floor. Let’s have a bit of empathy.
why wouldnt potter touch us with a bargepole ? brighton were in trouble when he went there and got them playing great football he would be my choice if hecky was sackedUnless it's Wilder on a free no way Prince spends money on a manager. Potter not touching us with a barge pole. So who else??
Tripe or in todays language fucking wank.Worse than the scoreline for me, is that that was the least Sheffield United type performance since the Adkins season.
I hate when fans use the word unacceptable as it smacks of entitlement, but what other word is there for it?
Fair enough if you don’t think it will have had an effect on the teamLet’s not play that one shall we
Do you not think it is relevant?Let’s not play that one shall we
I disagree totally, our 'first X1' is still relegation level. When we bring on the 2nd string, then OMG.You can only piss with the cock you’ve got. We’re skint. We’ve got a decent first XI - probably mid bottom half - but we can’t afford strength in depth, so as soon as we lose a player we rely on (McBurnie in this case) we’re going to get fucked. Nothing we can do about it. We haven’t got the coin to compete.
Granted today’s capitulation is annoying and embarrassing, but let’s not forget we nearly got a point against the European champions.
I hope soWhat's the odds on Xisco outliving PH as Manager of a Sheffield football league club?

Our latest club legend played the day after the death of his son and scored the most memorable goal of his career.Fair enough if you don’t think it will have had an effect on the team
Disagree.I disagree totally, our 'first X1' is still relegation level. When we bring on the 2nd string, then OMG.
See above. Not really. I’m as sick as anyone about Maddy but that performance today was the complete opposite to honouring her.Do you not think it is relevant?
Hecky is to blame for that second half performance. The tactical change made us look so open.
We were 3-0 & absolutely no chance we were going to come back from it, just be defensively strong and move on to West Ham.
Instead he went 4 at the back. Neither McAtee or Hamer were tracking their wingbacks so they just doubled up on us. Absolutely bizarre
Almost like grief affects people in different waysOur latest club legend played the day after the death of his son and scored the most memorable goal of his career.
I’m not having losing a colleague as an excuse for THAT. It should have been the complete opposite performance.
Fair point but it’s not that cut and dried is it?Take the point, but presumably you'd want to play well in her honour wouldn't you. Not give up.
Doesn’t matter what you or I think though. What matters is how it might have affected the players individually & we don’t know that. We also have no right to dictate how anyone else should react.See above. Not really. I’m as sick as anyone about Maddy but that performance today was the complete opposite to honouring her.
Agreed, at championship levelDisagree.
Wes - decent
Bakdock - good
Anel - good
Egan - good
Robinson/Trusty - decent
Thomas - good
Hamer - very good
McAtee - very good
Bono - very good
McBurnie - good
Archer - good
Pep would be my choice too but we still won't be getting him either. Jesus Potter turned down Lyon and Rangers..that's why he wouldn't touch us.why wouldnt potter touch us with a bargepole ? brighton were in trouble when he went there and got them playing great football he would be my choice if hecky was sacked
For me, at lower Prem level too. But all abart opinions innit.Agreed, at championship level
Oh please shut up that makes no excuse for that display!Let’s not forget that the club has, to some extent, had its heart broken this week with the sad news about Maddy Cusack. From the sounds of it she wasn’t just a player or a staff member; she was so much more and part of the Blades family.

Probably not first to post it but we’ve got to laugh at ourselves….
All 11? Right. Fair enough. Use excuses if you want. I won’t be.Almost like grief affects people in different ways
Yep. Excuse them all. Fuck it. We can make excuses for every single game then by that method.Doesn’t matter what you or I think though. What matters is how it might have affected the players individually & we don’t know that. We also have no right to dictate how anyone else should react.
